In 2017, Yale University implemented Workday Financial Management as its ERP Financial platform, replacing Oracle E-Business Suite. The deployment targeted core financial operations across university finance and administrative functions, establishing a single financial management application to support accounting, procurement, and reporting needs within the university community.
Workday Financial Management was configured to deliver standard ERP Financial capabilities such as general ledger, accounts payable, procurement workflows, expense processing, and financial reporting, with role-based security and business process frameworks adjusted to Yale governance. The implementation program included a concentrated nine month adoption campaign led by a team of communications, graphics, and web professionals who developed strategic, targeted messages to the Yale community to drive usage and awareness.
Data migration activities moved core financial records from Oracle E-Business Suite into Workday Financial Management as part of the cutover, while the rollout emphasized user enablement and documentation. An enhanced training and support website was implemented in consultation with Yale's User Experience and Digital Strategy team to centralize learning resources, support workflows, and ongoing user assistance for finance and administrative staff.
Governance and change management combined communications leadership, UX collaboration, and finance stakeholders to coordinate the phased rollout and training schedule. Communications and the dedicated training site facilitated adoption of Workday Financial Management across the Yale community without asserting specific quantitative outcomes.

In 2013, Yale University adopted Advarra OnCore as its institutional CTMS. Yale University implemented Advarra OnCore CTMS to centralize clinical trial management and to support research administration and clinical care coordination across its academic medical enterprise.
The deployment emphasized billing and EMR interface capabilities, with Advarra OnCore configured to handle demographics, study status flags, laboratory results, and billing designations. Module usage for billing and EMR interfaces is inferred from the cited case study and institutional documentation, consistent with typical CTMS functional workflows for participant tracking and charge assignment.
In 2013 Yale integrated OnCore with its Epic EHR to enable bidirectional data exchange of demographics, study status flags, lab results, and billing designations. The US based integration connected research systems to clinical workflows, improving visibility for care teams and aligning study status and lab data between the CTMS and the electronic health record.
Governance and operational alignment routed responsibilities to research administration and clinical informatics groups, ensuring data exchange supported billing compliance and participant safety monitoring. The integration is documented to have improved billing compliance and participant safety visibility across care teams, as reported in institutional materials.
