| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Yokohama Tire implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 in an ERP Financial deployment to support North American financial consolidation and statutory reporting workflows. The program included SAP BPC 10.1 for monthly and quarterly legal consolidations, establishing an integrated consolidation layer alongside the ECC general ledger.
The implementation configured core consolidation modules including Consolidation, Ownership, Rate and Intercompany matching models within BPC 10.1, and implemented account based calculation rules for intercompany eliminations, equity and investment adjustments. Currency conversion processes were instrumented in a rate model to maintain average, period end and historical rates, and logic scripts were created to push converted data between the consolidation and intercompany matching models. Consolidation central components such as the Consolidation monitor, Controls monitor, Journals and Ownership were extended and Account based input forms were created to capture elimination journal entries and adjustments.
Data integration and loading architecture relied on SAP ECC as the primary transactional source, supplemented by non SAP systems for additional master data and actuals. Data manager packages, transformation and conversion files were used to load master data and actuals into BPC, with ABAP based end routines invoked by transformation files to perform final data shaping. Dimensions and properties were modeled to support consolidation and intercompany processes, and reporting was implemented for income statement, balance sheet, eliminations, variance and custom auditor reports.
Governance focused on securing consolidation dimensions and establishing data access profiles, task profiles, team profiles, user profiles and work status controls. A business process flow was configured with user specific activities, input forms and reports to drive period close and reconciliation tasks, and a coordinated go live process included collection and transport of development objects to quality and production systems. Post go live support covered EPM issues, dimension updates, security maintenance and pack level updates while business users were trained and supported to run the consolidations process.

SAP Concur Travel was configured to support core Travel Management capabilities including travel booking orchestration, expense reporting, policy-based approval routing, and centralized receipt capture and reporting. The implementation emphasized expense reporting and approval workflows that align with HR and finance processes, and the platform is used to generate ad hoc reports relied on by HR staff for analytics and personnel administration.
