In 2011, yourtown engaged Professional Advantage with consultancy support from BDO to implement Infor SunSystems as its ERP Financial application to address increasing organizational complexity and an existing finance platform that would no longer be supported. The decision prioritized a compact, cost conscious rollout that could support a ten person finance team while improving financial reporting and operational access across remote staff.
The implementation configured Infor SunSystems for core financial management and general ledger workflows, and deployed Infor ION BI to provide embedded reporting and analysis, with iPOS introduced later to capture transactional activity. Infor SunSystems and Infor ION BI went live in January 2012 and iPOS followed in June 2012, establishing a layered architecture that separated transaction capture from business intelligence and financial consolidation.
Operational coverage concentrated on finance and reporting functions, enabling monthly analysis and reducing reliance on manual spreadsheet extracts, while improving remote access to financial data. Governance emphasized a controlled rollout sequence and tight alignment with the finance team to future proof controls and reporting, and the CFO highlighted efficiency, the ability to analyse data on a monthly basis, and improved access for remote staff as the primary outcomes delivered by the new environment.
