In 2019, Yushi Construction implemented freeeHR Payroll. The company conducts public and private construction work in Okinawa Prefecture, operating roughly 5 to 6 remote sites and employing about 50 people, and it introduced the system to address the operational burden of collecting paper attendance sheets from multiple sites.
freeeHR Payroll, a Payroll application, was configured to automatically collect, aggregate, and transfer attendance data and to automate payroll calculations. The deployment included provisioning iPhone SE devices to all employees to standardize the work environment and enable on-site attendance recording and peer-to-peer user support among staff less familiar with IT.
Integration with accounting was enabled to pass aggregated attendance and payroll data into financial workflows, reducing manual handoffs between HR and accounting. Operational coverage spanned the general affairs department, HR and payroll processing, the business promotion department which led the DX initiative, and on-site personnel across Okinawa.
Rollout and governance were managed from head office with Ms. Saori Hasegawa providing hands-on support and establishing a site-level follow-up structure to train employees and surface process issues. Payroll calculation time was reduced from six days to one day and calculation accuracy improved, and the company noted the configuration can accommodate future headcount increases without adding general affairs staff.
