In 2013, Z Energy implemented SilkRoad Red Carpet Onboarding, a Rival offering, under the Onboarding category to update its onboarding workflows for graduate and early-career hires. The implementation scope centered on HR operations, with a short term HR graduate working with the HR Project manager between November 2012 and February 2013 to assist with an integration and to update the Red Carpet onboarding tool. Workstreams included updating orientation content and embedding employment law guidance into onboarding activities.
Configuration focused on onboarding workflows, orientation checklists, and content management capabilities typical of an Onboarding application, and the SilkRoad Red Carpet Onboarding deployment was aligned with employee relations touchpoints exposed during the project. The integration work was coordinated by HR project leadership to connect the onboarding tool into existing HR operational workflows and to streamline administrative handoffs for graduate intake. Governance was managed by the HR Project manager and HR team, and Z Energy had previously been recognized with the HRINZ HR Initiative of the year in 2012 for values work that informed the onboarding content.
