| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Dynamics GP | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2013 | 2018 |
In 2013, Zayo Group implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP as its core ERP Financial application. The deployment positioned Microsoft Dynamics GP as the primary accounting system for Zayo Group's United States finance organization, with a dedicated System Administrator responsible for Accounting, reflecting centralized stewardship of chart of accounts, fiscal calendars, and core close processes.
Configuration focused on standard financial modules consistent with an ERP Financial implementation, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management, and financial reporting. The Microsoft Dynamics GP instance was configured to support accounting workflows, period close sequencing, and role-based security controls under the System Administrator's oversight.
Operational architecture coexisted with other enterprise systems, notably Workday for HRIS and Fidelity PSW for stock and investment administration, both identified in the application environment. Interfaces and reconciliation workflows were established to align employee master data and equity or investment transaction records with Microsoft Dynamics GP for accounting and journal entry purposes, ensuring the finance team could reconcile external HR and stock systems to the ERP Financial ledger.
Governance emphasized application ownership by the System Administrator for Accounting, formalized access governance, and process changes to financial close and reconciliation routines. Rollout and ongoing operations centered on sustaining accounting controls, managing user provisioning, and maintaining integration touchpoints with Workday and Fidelity PSW to support end-to-end financial recordkeeping.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 Zayo Group implemented Workday Absence Management as part of its Absence and Leave Management tooling for HR operations. The implementation aligned absence and time off configuration with the company organization hierarchy and tenant setup, using configurable security and custom fields to enforce role based access across HR administrators and managers.
Workday Absence Management was configured for core modules including Time Off accruals, Leave Entitlements, leave validations, and multiple Time Off and Leave Types to reflect updated HR policy rules. The project included business process design work to embed leave validations and accrual logic into hiring and role change workflows, and the team prepared and executed test scenarios before each migration to production.
Integrations and operational support relied on Workday EIB mass loads to manage day to day transactions such as Hire, Edit Position, Edit Job Requisitions, Assign Roles, Put Cost Center, and Update Supervisory Organizations, enabling operational data synchronization for absence calculations. Reporting and analytics were implemented using Advanced Reporting, with standard and custom reports, dashboards, scheduled reports, alerts, and custom notifications to support absence administration and case follow up.
Governance and ongoing operations were structured through configurable security groups, domain security policies, and business process security policies, with dedicated support for Core HCM, Compensation, Absence Management, Security, and Reporting incidents. The configuration work also referenced broader HR and benefits coverage including Open Enrollment setups for US, Canada, UK, and France to maintain consistency between benefits and absence entitlements.

In 2015, Zayo Group implemented Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) as its Field Service Management platform. The deployment used the Salesforce Field Service Lightning managed package inside the corporate Salesforce org, with the Sr. Specialist, Systems Development & Implementation representing Operations business units during system configuration and ongoing adoption efforts.
The implementation focused on standard Field Service Management capabilities, configured for work order management, scheduling and dispatch, service appointment orchestration, mobile workforce enablement, skills and resource-based assignment, and technician task execution. Salesforce Field Service Lightning was configured to manage service appointment lifecycles, technician schedules, and the operational workflows that support field crew execution, with customization guided by Operations process owners.
Operational coverage centered on Operations business units and field technician teams, with the package integrated into the wider Salesforce CRM data model to link service appointments to account and case records and to surface service history to dispatchers and operators. Governance and process change were driven by the internal Systems Development & Implementation role, emphasizing deployment, continued adoption, and process enhancements to align field workflows with the Field Service Management solution.
