Byrne Bros Construction and Real Estate 450 $134M United Kingdom AssetTagz AssetTagz Enterprise Asset Management 2018 n/a
In 2018, Byrne Bros implemented AssetTagz as an Enterprise Asset Management solution to improve control and visibility of plant, materials and warehouse inventory across its consolidation centre and active construction sites. Byrne Bros operates a seven-acre consolidation centre in Mitcham, South London that supplies plant and materials and provides warehouse and distribution services to most of its sites, and the estate included more than 1300 pieces of equipment that required tighter operational management. The implementation combined AssetTagz RFID technology with the COINS Plant Manager module to automate core plant lifecycle workflows, specifically the Issue and Return processes for plant, stock and equipment. Functional capabilities configured included RFID tagging for asset identification, automated check-out and check-in transactions, and inventory reconciliation workflows consistent with Enterprise Asset Management practices. Integrations focused on operational orchestration between the AssetTagz asset tracking layer and COINS Plant Manager to ensure transactional consistency between field activity and back-office plant records. The deployment covered the Mitcham consolidation centre, warehouse and distribution operations, and the network of construction sites that consume equipment and materials, supporting plant management and site operations business functions. Governance changes emphasized formalizing Issue and Return procedures, introducing RFID-driven inventory controls and visible status dashboards for site supervisors and warehouse teams. The rollout delivered managed tracking and improved visibility of more than 1300 assets using AssetTagz, and was positioned to improve customer service and support tighter cost control for the Byrne Bros estate as described in the project case study.
