In 2022 Fortive implemented AWS Virtual Private Cloud within its Application Hosting and Computing Services footprint to centralize networking and compute across its global operating companies. The initiative established Amazon VPC as the primary compute and network backbone component of a broader AWS Cloud WAN and Direct Connect program that began in May 2022.
The implementation focused on Amazon VPC design and configuration to host compute workloads, coupled with Cloud WAN integration and Direct Connect for private connectivity and consolidated routing. In 2022, Freddie Mac deployed AWS Virtual Private Cloud as a core element of its Application Hosting and Computing Services to support secure, segmented network infrastructure across multiple sites and zones. Security and monitoring modules were integrated into the AWS Virtual Private Cloud deployment, including AWS Network Firewall, AWS security groups, and AWS IAM for access control, complemented by Azure Firewall Manager, Azure Network Security Groups and Azure RBAC on the Azure side. The implementation also incorporated centralized Palo Alto device management via Panorama M-100 and M-500, Cisco ISE for authentication, and protections such as AWS Shield and Azure Application Gateway with WAF, with telemetry forwarded to Amazon CloudWatch and Azure Monitor for dynamic monitoring and logging.
Operational governance emphasized firewall policy administration, rule analysis and documented configuration management, with routine reporting and inventory maintenance to support network operations teams. The deployment linked AWS Virtual Private Cloud networking constructs to directory and identity services through AWS Directory Service and Azure Active Directory to standardize authentication across distributed architectures and to enable coordinated policy enforcement within Freddie Mac Application Hosting and Computing Services.

In 2024, HomeTiger implemented AWS Virtual Private Cloud to host its Elasticsearch ecommerce search system, aligning infrastructure under the Application Hosting and Computing Services category. Operational scope included HomeTiger ecommerce application and operations teams responsible for search, indexing pipelines, and marketplace user experience across Germany and France. CloudHero executed the rollout with coordinated cutover and operational validation to maintain zero downtime, and hosting in the Frankfurt region was used to increase uptime and reduce latency as reported. Governance aligned infrastructure ownership with HomeTiger operations and cloud engineering for ongoing management of the AWS Virtual Private Cloud deployment.
