Ammex Manufacturing 300 $45M United States Blue Ridge Blue Ridge Supply Planing Advanced Planning and Scheduling 2020 n/a In 2020, Ammex implemented Blue Ridge Supply Planing as a core Advanced Planning and Scheduling capability to standardize inventory allocation and orchestrate order processing across its wholesale distribution channels. The Blue Ridge Supply Planing deployment was positioned to support Ammex’s need for fair inventory allocation during elevated COVID-19 demand and to enable tighter coupling between order capture and fulfillment systems. Blue Ridge Supply Planing was configured to provide supply planning and inventory allocation workflows, order orchestration, and scheduling logic consistent with Advanced Planning and Scheduling functionality. Configuration work targeted allocation rules and replenishment triggers to align inventory availability with customer segmentation, and to feed availability signals into order routing and warehouse release processes. The implementation was integrated into Ammex’s cloud integration layer, with Boomi orchestrating data flows between Salesforce Sales Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics GP, the OnePath ecommerce platform built on Kibo, FTP endpoints, Zendesk, Amazon, ServiceDesk, eBay, Shopify, Sellbrite, XE.com, and Blue Ridge. When a customer record is created in Sales Cloud, the integration layer automates account creation in Dynamics GP and OnePath, and when orders are placed in OnePath the integration creates orders in the ERP, checks availability against Blue Ridge Supply Planing outputs, routes fulfillment to the warehouse, and returns tracking to OnePath and ERP for end-to-end visibility. Operational scope included customer service, ecommerce order entry, supply chain planning, and warehouse execution across Ammex’s distribution footprint, with OnePath providing 24/7 self-service access to order status and history. The rollout restructured order processing and customer service workflows, enabling automation of repetitive tasks and freeing at least three full time employees for other duties, while supporting a fourfold increase in orders processed within 12 months and reducing exposure to late shipment fees as inventory allocation logic was enforced.
General Beverage Sales Co.-Milwaukee Distribution 1000 $114M United States Blue Ridge Blue Ridge Supply Planing Advanced Planning and Scheduling 2014 n/a In 2014 General Beverage Sales Co.-Milwaukee implemented Blue Ridge Supply Planing as its Advanced Planning and Scheduling solution to centralize supply chain planning functions for a U.S. distribution business with approximately 1,000 employees. The deployment targeted core planning business functions including demand planning, inventory replenishment, and distribution planning to align warehouse operations and procurement with sales forecasts. Blue Ridge Supply Planing was configured to provide standard Advanced Planning and Scheduling capabilities, including demand forecasting inputs, replenishment logic, multi-echelon inventory considerations, and scenario modeling for order-to-fulfill planning cycles. Configuration and optimization work emphasized master data alignment, SKU-level replenishment parameters, and planning horizon management to support ongoing operational planning and scheduling workflows. The implementation integrated with Microsoft Dynamics GP to ingest master data and transactional sales and inventory records, and with EDI infrastructures implemented via DataMasons and Cleo to automate order and shipment data flows. Extensions and process automation were supported by PowerApps work and by company and database consolidations and expansions led by internal IT, enabling orchestration between the planning engine and upstream ERP and EDI channels. Governance was organized through a centralized planning team with cross-functional subject matter experts, led by the company Lead Business System Analyst who managed software implementation, optimization and SME engagement. Rollout emphasized iterative configuration and ongoing optimization rather than a one-time cutover, with documented planning workflows and role-based responsibilities for planning, procurement and distribution operations.
Iberia Foods Distribution 3700 $400M United States Blue Ridge Blue Ridge Supply Planing Advanced Planning and Scheduling 2019 n/a In 2019, Iberia Foods implemented Blue Ridge Supply Planing, a cloud-based Advanced Planning and Scheduling application to align the distribution of product inventory with expected customer demand. The deployment targeted Iberia Foods Corp.'s multi-site distribution footprint including Brooklyn, Somerset, Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Springfield, and Chicago, servicing more than 10,000 supermarkets, clubs, wholesalers and distributors across the East Coast and Midwest. Blue Ridge Supply Planing was configured with distribution-focused forecasting and inventory planning capabilities, emphasizing demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and replenishment orchestration. The implementation explicitly addressed erratic regional demand, seasonality, and supermarket promotional and ad movement, configuring planning algorithms to balance customer service requirements with commercial constraints. Operational coverage centralized supply chain planning functions across Iberia Foods' distribution network, extending from demand planning into inventory policy and fulfillment execution at individual DCs. The cloud-based architecture provided a single planning plane for forecasting and inventory visibility, enabling coordinated planning across purchasing, warehouse operations, and customer fulfillment teams. Governance changes emphasized a synchronized planning cadence and demand-supply balancing to respond to market fluctuations and promotional events, reworking workflows between planning, procurement, and distribution operations. Implementation activities focused on aligning inventory policies and replenishment rules to support the tastes-of-home assortments that serve Hispanic and Caribbean market segments. The deployment positioned Iberia Foods to better fulfill increasing customer demand while aiming to reduce costs, improve service levels, and assure product availability, outcomes highlighted by both Iberia Foods and Blue Ridge. Blue Ridge was recognized in December 2018 by Frost & Sullivan as a leading cloud-native supply chain planning solution for distributors, providing corroborating context for the selection.
