Kill Cliff Consumer Packaged Goods 40 $5M United States Cadence Design Systems Cadence WMS Warehouse Management 2023 SWK Technologies
In 2023 Kill Cliff implemented Cadence WMS as its Warehouse Management solution to formalize warehouse operations across multiple outsourced fulfillment partners. The Cadence WMS deployment was positioned to provide warehouse-level transaction capture and inventory control that directly complements Kill Cliff’s Acumatica Cloud ERP implementation and omnichannel ecommerce footprint. The Cadence WMS rollout focused on standard Warehouse Management capabilities typical for CPG operations, including inbound receiving and putaway workflows, real-time inventory visibility by location and lot, pick and pack orchestration, and shipping event feeds. Configuration emphasized transaction-level integration so warehouse movements update the enterprise inventory ledger in near real time, supporting order fulfillment and inventory accountability across distributed sites. Integrations were implemented to connect Cadence WMS with Kill Cliff’s core operational stack, explicitly including Acumatica Cloud ERP, the Shopify Connector for three storefronts, ShipStation for parcel processing, and SPS Commerce for EDI fulfillment flows. The implementation also integrated with contract manufacturers and third party logistics partners, including Cadence as a 3PL node, so warehouse events and order status could flow into enterprise order management and financial modules. SWK Technologies served as the systems integrator on the program, coordinating configuration and cutover tasks between Cadence WMS and Acumatica Cloud ERP. Operational governance centered on establishing warehouse-to-ERP transaction governance and eliminating manual reconciliation, enabling a single source of inventory truth across Kill Cliff’s 3PLs and co-manufacturing sites without altering the company’s outsourced fulfillment model.
