Bank of Beijing | Banking and Financial Services | 20138 | $9.7B | China | ChainMaker | ChainMaker | Blockchain Platform | 2022 | n/a | In 2022, Bank of Beijing implemented ChainMaker as a Blockchain Platform built on the Chang'an Chain technical foundation. The program leveraged business scenarios such as Jingxin Chain to gradually construct an interconnected, authentic, efficient and secure data network and to create an open banking ecosystem with shared business processes and coexistence of multiple business scenarios and multiple participants. The ChainMaker application was configured to deliver core Blockchain Platform capabilities, including a permissioned distributed ledger, smart contract orchestration for automated workflows, identity and access controls for participant authentication, and data provenance features to ensure transaction authenticity. Configuration emphasized concurrent scenario support so distinct supply chain finance workflows could operate alongside each other while enforcing common governance rules. Operational scope focused on supply chain finance for small and medium sized enterprises, connecting bank, supplier and buyer participants to enable shared transaction records and coordinated business processes. The implementation targeted business functions across trade finance and SME lending, and was designed to support cross participant settlement and information sharing while minimizing unnecessary data exposure. Governance was organized around consortium level controls and embedded process rules within the ChainMaker Blockchain Platform to manage participant onboarding, transaction validation and dispute workflows. The initiative was intended to provide financial services to small and medium sized enterprises in the supply chain, help the supply chain operate stably and smoothly, and support the high quality development of the real economy.

China Merchants Group | Professional Services | 230000 | $128.3B | China | ChainMaker | ChainMaker | Blockchain Platform | 2023 | n/a | In 2023, China Merchants Group implemented ChainMaker as a Blockchain Platform to consolidate and standardize shipping and trade blockchain applications across its port, logistics and finance operations. The deployment targeted a dual circulation shipping and trade alliance serving shippers, logistics companies, infrastructure operators and other participating entities to enable multi party data sharing and trusted workflows. The project converged multiple blockchain technology routes and independent research and development, aligning ChainMaker as the enterprise Blockchain Platform while program documentation identifies Changan Chain as an underlying chain technology used across the group. China Merchants Group independently developed public infrastructure components including cross chain platforms, a distributed digital identity platform and a logistics big data platform to support smart contracts, consensus management and on chain data services. Integrations connected 19 internal and external blockchains and achieved early cross chain interoperation with the customs blockchain, while data exchange and ecological cooperation were carried out with networks such as GSBN. The implementation integrated blockchain with distributed identity, privacy computing, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and cloud computing to address data provenance, encrypted compute and rapid cloud based deployment across multi party shipping trade workflows. Governance and rollout were coordinated with central authorities including the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs, and the program produced sector platforms such as a Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area port logistics and trade facilitation blockchain platform, the Silk Road Cloud Chain for bulk commodities and an NVOCC blockchain electronic bill of lading platform. The initiative formed an integrated Shipping Trade and Finance ecosystem that enabled more than 12,000 small and medium sized enterprises, provided more than 83 billion yuan of inclusive finance, and supported the formulation of shipping related blockchain standards reflected in Ministry of Transport guidelines issued June 17, 2022.
