Benetton Ungheria | Manufacturing | 379 | $70M | Hungary | Dematic | Dematic AutoStore | Warehouse Management | 2022 | Dematic |
In 2022 Benetton Ungheria deployed Dematic AutoStore under the Warehouse Management category, bringing a brownfield AutoStore installation online at the end of 2022 to support high volume e commerce and B2B fulfilment. The deployment targeted warehouse operations to increase storage density and throughput across the site's picking and dispatch functions.
The implementation used Dematic AutoStore robotically managed dense bin grid technology and automated ports combined with Dematic warehouse management software to orchestrate inventory, order queuing, and tasking. Configuration emphasized compact storage density and automated retrieval workflows, enabling dense bin storage, robotic retrieval, and port based order consolidation to streamline pick and putaway cycles.
Dematic served as the system integrator and provided the Dematic warehouse management software integration to link AutoStore controls with higher level order management and fulfilment processes. Operational coverage included picking, replenishment, order consolidation and same day dispatch operations for e commerce and B2B channels at the Hungarian site.
The system went online at the end of 2022 and delivered reported operational outcomes including tripling storage density and doubling operational efficiency, while improving same day dispatch capability and reducing goods handling by roughly 50 percent. Governance and rollout followed a brownfield approach that retained existing site infrastructure while adding AutoStore hardware and Dematic software, with Dematic coordinating implementation and go live activities.

Eram Group | Oil, Gas and Chemicals | 10000 | $800M | Saudi Arabia | Dematic | Dematic AutoStore | Warehouse Management | 2025 | n/a |
In 2025, Eram Group deployed Dematic AutoStore to automate its new distribution centre in Chemillé-en–Anjou, aligning the project to Warehouse Management requirements for both B2B and B2C footwear storage and distribution. The implementation is part of a Fashion division program to consolidate flows for brands including Gémo, Eram, Bocage and Mellow Yellow in a facility covering more than 40,000 square metres in the Loire Valley region.
The Dematic AutoStore implementation is built around a large AutoStore grid containing 80,000 bins, 84 robots and 16 workstations, with automation covering both order picking and palletising processes. The physical architecture includes a receiving conveyor with two unloaders for trucks and containers, a sorting conveyor for packages destined for palletising, a robotic carton opening cell, a robot to load totes into the AutoStore, and a packing station with conveyor that forwards completed orders to the dispatch area. The solution emphasizes a compact and scalable design to increase usable storage within the same surface area and allow future expansion.
Dematic Software is the operational orchestration layer, managing order fulfilment and picking operations and providing Warehouse Management functionality to meet transportation and customer satisfaction requirements. The software is implemented to interface seamlessly with the software currently installed and managed by the Eram Group, enabling coordinated order processing and handoff to downstream dispatch and transport processes.
Operationally the deployment centralises footwear inventory and order processing for Eram Group's Fashion division at the Chemillé-en–Anjou site, consolidating multi-brand flows into a single automated footprint. Selection rationale cited Dematic’s AutoStore expertise and the compact system design, and the deployment is framed to enhance Eram Group order processing while preserving the option to scale capacity as future needs arise.

Kesko Oyj | Retail | 17400 | $12.0B | Finland | Dematic | Dematic AutoStore | Warehouse Management | 2022 | Dematic |
In 2022, Kesko Oyj implemented Dematic AutoStore as a Warehouse Management solution to automate grocery order fulfilment at a micro fulfillment centre in Ruoholahti. The Dematic AutoStore implementation was carried out and commissioned in Q1 2022 by Dematic, with Matflo providing the WMS integration and orchestration services.
The deployment centers on a Dematic AutoStore micro fulfillment architecture, configured to provide dense automated storage and robotic goods to person picking for online grocery orders. Configuration emphasized order consolidation and buffering to support high velocity picking and packing workflows typical of grocery micro fulfillment operations.
Integrations include a direct operational interface with the Matflo WMS, enabling order flow, inventory visibility, and task orchestration between the AutoStore environment and Kesko retail fulfilment processes. The Ruoholahti site serves the Helsinki region and the solution reached full production in February 2023, enabling six hour same day delivery while doubling daily delivery capacity and reducing in store pickers by approximately 80 percent in the region.
Rollout and governance followed a staged commissioning path, with installation and commissioning in Q1 2022 and production ramp to full operations by February 2023, under implementation ownership by Dematic. Operational changes centralized online grocery picking into the micro fulfillment centre, shifting tasking and workforce allocation from store based pick teams to centralized fulfilment operations and WMS driven orchestration.
