In 2015, WesTrac implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its core ERP Financial system, establishing the application as the enterprise ledger and finance process backbone. The implementation focused on centralizing transactional finance processing for the company while aligning system configuration with enterprise accounting workflows.
SAP S/4 HANA was configured to handle accounts payable, credit control, fixed assets, sundry accounts receivable, payroll accounting, cash accounting, employee expense management, period end close and general accounting. Functional emphasis included transaction processing, internal controls, and period close orchestration consistent with ERP Financial capabilities.
Operational coverage included West Australia and New South Wales dealership operations, supported by a Head of Shared Services who developed and managed a team of up to 40 qualified, part qualified and administrative personnel to execute finance transactional processing and reporting. The program introduced a new shared services organizational structure and established a finance business contact role for the SAP S/4 HANA implementation to govern process ownership, control points and ongoing operational accountability across dealerships.

In 2015, WesTrac implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as part of Phase 1 of its S3 program. The deployment targeted Core HR functionality across WesTrac and included a subsequent rollout to corporate parent Seven Group Holdings, executed as a greenfields SAP engagement led by SAP Australia.
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central was configured to deliver employee records, workforce administration, performance and goals management, and time and leave management. The Core HR implementation included standard HCM master data models, process workflows for employee lifecycle events, and performance management configuration aligned to SuccessFactors performance and goals capabilities.
The implementation was delivered inside a broader SAP landscape that went live for multiple streams in 2015, including Ariba upstream source to contract on April 16, 2015, SuccessFactors EC and performance and goals management on July 1, 2015, and SuccessFactors time and leave with HANA Live reporting on August 3, 2015. Integrations tied SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central to SAP ERP HR and payroll components, Kronos and CATS time capture systems, Ariba procurement, OpenText VIM, Fiori user experiences, HANA Live and BW BO reporting, and interfaces to Cat dealer management systems. Technical delivery encompassed PO and interface streams, integration and cutover planning, and HANA based operational reporting.
Program governance emphasized weekly status reporting to the S3 Program and monthly reporting to the SAP PMO, with managed testing cycles covering system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and payroll parallel runs. Post go live activities included production go live support with daily calls to WesTrac super users, knowledge transfer to SAP AMS, and managed onboarding and rolloff of consulting resources. The program delivered the enumerated projects on schedule and the SAP program team received the President's Award, Delivery Team of the Quarter in APJ.

The deployment provisions Texada SRM as a full Service Management SaaS and mobile solution, configured to support service workflows common to heavy equipment dealers, including work order lifecycle management, technician mobile enablement, scheduling and parts coordination, and service contract execution. Texada SRM is positioned as the operational layer to streamline onsite technician activity and enable service task automation. The implementation emphasizes SaaS configuration, mobile client provisioning and the extension of sales automation data into service workflows.
Integration scope unifies Texada SRM with WesTrac’s existing Texada platform components, explicitly including Equipment Sales, CPQ, Order to Invoice Automation and Equipment Monitoring, creating an end to end operational fabric across sales, monitoring and service. Operational coverage centers on WesTrac’s service operations and service business, extending the Integrated Dealer Solution capabilities into technician and depot workflows.
Governance and rollout are framed under WesTrac’s Integrated Dealer Solution program, managed by the IDS product team, with a phased extension into service operations to reduce information silos and improve cross functional decision making. WesTrac cites expected benefits from the Texada SRM deployment such as increased efficiency for service technicians and growth across the business.
