In 2017 Updike Distribution Logistics implemented EG FleetView as a Transportation Management application. The deployment targeted fleet-level visibility and orchestration across operations, back office, customer service, safety and maintenance, and driver recruitment functions.
Configuration work emphasized operational reporting and analytics, the team created SSRS reports and Power BI dashboards to publish KPIs for revenue, production and equipment counts, and to monitor driver manager performance. The program included EDI trading partner configurations to process 204 and 990 load tenders, 214 status updates, and 210 invoices to support billing and carrier communications.
The broader transportation program integrated telematics and document tracking into operational workflows, with Omnitracs and Synergize cited as data sources feeding status and asset information. EG FleetView was provisioned to support trailer and fleet visibility use cases and to provide data into carrier-facing web portals intended to improve transparency and tender processing.
Governance and rollout were managed with a named project manager acting as the primary point of contact with application developers to create personalized views and features, and to establish standardized workflows for operations, back office, and payroll.
