In 2024 De Goudse introduced INSIS Platform Pricing, deploying the insurance technical system for its Life business as an Insurance Pricing and Rating Engine. The INSIS Platform Pricing was put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2024 and represents the first major go-live milestone for the Life segment.
The implementation digitalized and automated core pricing and policy workflows, with quoting, underwriting acceptance and ongoing policy management for the business segment for survivor's benefit insurance moved to the platform. Functionality aligns with Insurance Pricing and Rating Engine capabilities, enabling rule-driven rating, product configuration and automated quotation processes, and scope will extend to individual life insurance products in the subsequent rollout.
Operational coverage is focused on the Life business, impacting underwriting, sales and advisor-facing servicing, and end-client delivery through digitalized advisor service concepts such as Certified SME Advisors and the Community for Income Professionals. The deployment is described as part of a broader modernization of the IT landscape and an explicit investment in digital resilience and customer value.
Financial governance is explicit, with EUR 6.5 million of external software costs capitalized in 2024 for the INSIS implementation and depreciation scheduled over an expected economic useful life of 10 years. The program sits alongside a company-wide cost-saving initiative, increased advisory spend related to INSIS development, DORA compliance work and preparation for a new Claims Department strategy, and De Goudse frames the INSIS Platform Pricing go-live as a confidence-building milestone for further Life business modernization.
