Advanced Sterilization Products | Manufacturing | 2000 | $400M | United States | Propel Software | Propel QMS | Quality Management | 2022 | n/a |
In 2022 Advanced Sterilization Products implemented Propel QMS as their Quality Management platform to consolidate distributed quality capabilities and meet a one year deadline to stand up a new technology stack following the Fortive acquisition. The implementation was scoped as a global quality management initiative to unify product, supplier and customer quality records across R and D, manufacturing, service and regulatory reporting functions.
Propel QMS was configured as the hub for product lifecycle management and quality records, encompassing PLM, supplier management, QS training, document control, corrective and preventive actions, nonconformance management, calibration and maintenance, customer complaints, and audit observations. The implementation included PLM features such as a managed part master, linked bill of materials and design controls to associate specifications, suppliers and part lifecycles with quality records.
Integration work connected Propel QMS to Salesforce for CRM and service case intake, and to SAP for ERP level lot, batch and part metadata flow, with an architectural goal of single sources of truth across product and customer data. The project also targeted interoperability with the laboratory information environment and enabled Propel QMS Digital FDA Submissions to communicate adverse events to the FDA webtrader portal, removing the need for duplicate data entry during complaint investigations.
Governance and process restructuring centered on embedding workflow controls and mistake proofing within Propel QMS, allowing complaints to be intake, investigated, assessed and reported within a unified workflow tied to product records. Data stewardship practices were applied to the part master in PLM to ensure consistent records, while end to end traceability linked nonconformances to lots and ERP transactions to support regulatory reporting and cross functional decision making.
Outcomes explicitly realized include consolidation of six enterprise level quality applications into a single Propel QMS PLM platform, implementation of over ten years of prior QMS capabilities within a six month deployment window, and the ability to launch CRM, PLM and QMS on a single Salesforce platform within eight months. Integration with Salesforce and SAP created a unified product and service data flow that eliminated double data entry and enabled electronic FDA adverse event reporting directly from Propel QMS.

Akoustis | Manufacturing | 156 | $15M | United States | Propel Software | Propel QMS | Quality Management | 2018 | n/a |
In 2018, Akoustis implemented Propel QMS for Quality Management to centralize quality processes and combine two manufacturing facilities under a single management system. The Vice President of Quality acted as decision maker and subject matter expert during selection and configuration, steering alignment to company policy and ISO9001:2015 requirements. The deployment targeted core quality functions including product qualification, supplier qualification, operations quality, and customer complaint handling.
Propel QMS was configured with customized processes, reports, and dashboards, and formal change control workflows were built into the platform. Automated reporting of Key Performance Indicators was implemented where none had existed, enabling routine visibility into quality metrics. Qualification standards, inspection requirements, and control plans used across internal and external manufacturing processes were codified within Propel QMS.
The implementation covered the Quality organization and manufacturing operations across both sites, supporting the conversion of two facilities to ISO9001:2015 and their consolidation into one QMS. Governance was restructured so Management Review materials and executive and Board reporting were produced from the system, and the Quality function used the platform to support departmental budgeting and planning.
Third party ISO9001:2015 audits completed with no major findings. The Propel QMS deployment was executed alongside an insourcing project for reliability testing that increased capacity and flexibility, shortened time to market, and was completed on time and on budget, making Propel QMS the primary operational platform for Quality Management at Akoustis.

Anavasi Diagnostics | Life Sciences | 20 | $2M | United States | Propel Software | Propel QMS | Quality Management | 2022 | n/a |
In 2022, Anavasi Diagnostics implemented Propel QMS to centralize Quality Management for its in vitro diagnostic product portfolio. Propel QMS is a Salesforce-based eQMS platform that Anavasi used to migrate paper-based and hybrid QMS workflows while aligning procedures to ISO 13485:2016 and 21 CFR Part 820 requirements.
The implementation configured core Propel QMS functional modules including a Feedback and Complaint system, Supplier Quality processes with formal Quality Agreements, CAPA management, and non-conformance handling. Quality Engineering templates were established inside Propel QMS for customer and product requirements, risk analysis documents, design verification and validation protocols, and labeling and UDI authoring for multi-assay PCR detectors and IVD tests.
Operational deployment extended Propel QMS across quality, production, supply chain, regulatory, and laboratory functions, with close collaboration among the Director of Quality, QS Engineer, Director of Production, Supply Chain Manager, and VP of Regulatory. The program included establishing a device history file checklist and authoring device master record and device history record workflows inside Propel QMS, and it recorded company FDA site and device registration activities plus MDR portal submissions to CDRH.
Governance and process changes were formalized through SOPs for clinical sites, supplier inspection and test processes, and production validation protocols, including IQ OQ and PQ requirements for production and software tools. The Director of Quality led the QMS development effort from November 2021 through December 2024 in Redmond, WA, and Propel QMS serves as the system of record for documented design controls, CAPAs, and supplier quality activities within Anavasi Diagnostics.
