Toyota Financial Services New Zealand | Automotive | 369 | $918M | New Zealand | Ridecell | Ridecell 360 | Fleet Management | 2020 | n/a |
In 2020 Toyota Financial Services New Zealand implemented Ridecell 360 as its Fleet Management application to centralize fleet and customer data across its multi-brand operations. The deployment targeted Toyota Fleet Management, Mazda Finance, Cityhop car sharing, and Ezi Car Rentals, aligning fleet operations and customer-facing services under a single fleet management platform to support a centralized 360-degree view of customers and assets.
The Ridecell 360 implementation delivered core fleet management capabilities including telemetry ingestion, customer self-service portal functionality, fleet operations orchestration, and customer profile management designed to establish mastered golden records. Configuration effort focused on standardizing data models and repeatable integration patterns to enable automated synchronization of vehicle, registration, and customer attributes across operational modules.
Architecturally the program moved away from numerous direct API-to-API point integrations toward a consolidated integration and data mastering layer that consolidated feeds from CRM, the Alfa asset finance system, Miles and Ridecell fleet systems, SAP enterprise resource planning, and the Cars Plus registration telemetry system, along with other on-premises and cloud operational systems. This integration topology was implemented to reduce information silos and provide an orchestrated data flow across fleet and finance systems.
Governance and process changes accompanied the technical rollout, including creation of a single repository for customer and fleet information, data mastering rules to maintain golden records, and revised workflow ownership for contact center and sales teams to consume consolidated customer profiles. The governance model emphasized cross-brand identity resolution to remove personalization barriers between branded customer records and to enable coordinated offers and service interactions across business units.
Explicit outcomes from the Ridecell 360 rollout included real-time customer access to fleet data via the Miles portal, improved staff productivity through self-service profile updates, and a marked reduction in customer service tickets due to data consolidation. The centralized data framework also positioned the organization to present a unified view to contact center agents and to more readily onboard new systems or integrate future acquisitions as the business expands.
