The engagement established Blue Yonder WMS as the central application for inventory control and operational transaction processing across the companys distribution operations. The implementation configured core Warehouse Management modules including receiving, putaway, inventory management, cycle counting, picking, packing, shipping, replenishment, wave management and RF mobile device support. Business rules and pick strategies were formalized within the WMS, with configuration of slotting logic, lot and serialized item handling and transaction level audit trails to support traceability and fulfillment workflows. Architecturally the deployment emphasized a transaction oriented WMS engine with role based operator interfaces and barcode directed workflows, combined with RF handheld scanning for real time inventory updates. The Blue Yonder WMS implementation was provisioned with an integration ready architecture and data model to support downstream operational systems and future connectivity needs, while keeping warehouse transaction processing and reporting centralized in the WMS. Governance focused on standardizing warehouse procedures, documenting operational processes, and operator training to transition receiving, picking and shipping workflows into the new system. Cutover activities were structured to align inventory transactions and operator roles with the configured Blue Yonder WMS workflows to ensure operational continuity during go live.
