Breville Group | Manufacturing | 1100 | $998M | Australia | Microsoft | Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations | ERP Financial | 2021 | Avanade | In 2021, Breville Group implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its core ERP Financial platform. The project replaced Microsoft Dynamics AX and was delivered with Microsoft as vendor and Avanade acting as the system integrator, aligning the implementation to Breville Group's global home appliances manufacturing footprint. The implementation focused on Finance modules within Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, with configuration, customization and testing led by Dynamics 365 FinOps functional consultants and trainers. Workstreams documented business process and fit gap analysis, planned and executed business requirements discovery sessions with business users, and performed application life cycle management using JIRA. Training need analysis was conducted and both online and offline training materials were developed and delivered to business stakeholders. Operational coverage targeted finance teams and adjacent business user communities across Breville Group, with consulting and delivery activity noted from Sydney, Australia. Participation in user acceptance testing planning, management and execution was a formal part of the rollout, and scrum planning and stand ups were used to coordinate iterative releases and defect remediation. Governance combined functional ownership by finance process leads with project delivery managed through scrum rituals and JIRA based ALM, enabling structured UAT gates and training delivery prior to production cutover. The narrative centers on deployment of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as the ERP Financial backbone, emphasizing finance configuration, testing, training and governance rather than named downstream integrations. | |
