VUS | Education | 5000 | $600M | Vietnam | Microsoft | Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations | ERP Financial | 2022 | Yokogawa Votiva Solutions | In 2022, VUS implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its ERP Financial application within a Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud ecosystem. Working with multiple Microsoft partners including Yokogawa Votiva Solutions, VUS built an AI-driven, connected, collaborative IT solution to centralize administrative and educational operations across 43 centers and corporate functions. The deployment of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations focused on core financial and operational modules, including finance and accounting ledgers, purchasing and budget management, payroll digitization from spreadsheet processes, and CRM-aligned opportunity management for the sales team. Dynamics 365 F&O was configured to store sell orders, purchase orders, and invoices in a single financial ledger, enabling consolidated month end reporting and cross-functional visibility for accounting and finance. Integrations were engineered around Azure as the platform of record, with an Azure Data Warehouse consolidating transactional and operational data and Power BI dashboards embedded inside Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations for AI-driven analytics and visualization. The solution also leverages Microsoft 365 for Education productivity services, Azure Active Directory for identity and access management across teacher and employee accounts, and Power Apps for low code automation and custom application delivery, with plans to extend protection using Enterprise Mobility plus Security, Azure Rights Management, and Microsoft Intune. Operational governance was redesigned to support shared data entry and cross team reconciliation, moving finance and purchasing toward a single source of truth and reducing manual handoffs. Development and rollout practices shifted to low code prototyping with Power Apps, enabling rapid mock ups, iterative user feedback, and shorter release cycles, with reported reduction in app development time by 50 percent as part of the new workflow. VUS consolidated data into an interconnected cloud architecture to improve data accuracy and consistency, provide sales teams with faster lead access, and allow IT to scale infrastructure on subscription to match fluctuating student volumes. The initiative positioned Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations at the center of a secure, scalable ERP Financial stack, while the next phase emphasizes strengthened cybersecurity and device mobility controls to protect student and teacher data. | |
