DXC Technology Professional Services 120000 $12.9B United States Oracle Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing Database Database Management 2025 n/a In 2025, DXC Technology migrated parts of its global SaaS suite, including the International Material Data Systems application, to Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing Database in the Database Management category on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The move positioned Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing Database as the core Database Management platform for DXC’s automotive SaaS and its Data and AI initiatives. DXC deployed separate Autonomous Database instances for development, testing, and production to isolate lifecycle stages and reduce operational cost compared with the previous environment. The implementation leverages automated provisioning and autonomous operations inherent to Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing Database, and it uses Oracle Database 23ai capabilities to bring built-in AI and vector search into database workflows. DXC integrated structured, unstructured, and real-time data ingestion into a single platform, reducing the need to copy data for AI workloads. Operational coverage included the IMDS SaaS application and broader Data and AI engineering services, with the DXC Data and AI team developing a proof of concept for an AI chatbot that uses Oracle Database 23ai vector search for semantic search and user support. The architecture was designed to enable DXC and select clients to run AI models against data in multicloud and hybrid environments, and to choose either open source models or proprietary large language models to meet compliance requirements. DXC cited cost benefits, enhanced security and performance, simplified database management, and a long-standing partnership with Oracle as drivers for the deployment. The program centralized data integration and automated data engineering tasks, which DXC reports removed complexity and accelerated the delivery of AI-enabled insights for customers. DXC plans further migrations of internal and client applications to Oracle Database 23ai to expand semantic search and generative AI tooling across its service portfolio.
