US Department of Veterans Affairs Government 371000 $301.0B United States CGI Group CGI Momentum Government ERP 2025 n/a In 2025, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs expanded deployment of CGI Momentum as the foundation for its Integrated Financial and Acquisition Management System iFAMS, categorized as Government ERP. The August 27, 2025 expansion delivered iFAMS to the Loan Guaranty Program and the first group of Veterans Health Administration users, representing waves 7 and 8 of VA’s multiwave rollout. The implementation uses the Momentum Enterprise Suite as a commercial off the shelf Government ERP platform to standardize, streamline and automate core financial and acquisition processes. Implemented functional capabilities include integrated financial management, acquisition and contracting workflows, transaction processing and reporting designed to comply with federal financial and acquisitions management law and executive orders. CGI serves as both solution provider and implementation partner, architecting the solution to maximize use of Momentum and its COTS technologies while enabling VA to adopt new technologies. The architecture emphasizes use of proven commercial practices, increased incorporation of open source technologies and ongoing Momentum product roadmap alignment driven by VA user feedback and parallel wave rollouts. Operational scope for the released waves covers the Loan Guaranty Program and initial Veterans Health Administration users as part of a broader federal deployment, with iFAMS already processing over 11 million transactions and US$18 billion in Treasury disbursements and supporting US$39.9B in contracting dollars. The program will replace five systems across multiple technology platforms and is the first core financial management system approved for the U.S. Department of the Treasury FM QSMO marketplace, supporting improved transparency, audit readiness and fiscal accountability for VA.
