SK Food Group | Consumer Packaged Goods | 2000 | $220M | United States | Sage | Sage X3 Warehousing | Warehouse Management | 2021 | n/a | In 2021, SK Food Group implemented Sage X3 Warehousing as its Warehouse Management application to centralize inventory control across its manufacturing plants and third party cold storage partners. The deployment focused on multi-site inventory orchestration across SK Food Group locations in the United States, with operational responsibilities that include plant warehousing teams, Plant Directors, Warehouse Managers, Financial Managers, Demand Planning, and Accounts Receivable. The implementation accommodated hybrid work patterns and ongoing site visits, with inventory leadership expected to travel 25 to 30 percent to support network standardization and audits. Sage X3 Warehousing was configured to support core Warehouse Management capabilities including cycle counting and inventory accuracy controls, formalized inventory audit and reconciliation workflows, sales order processing tied to cold storage receipts and transfers, and standardized transfer request processing between SK sites. The configuration emphasized inventory transaction integrity, automated recording of inventory outcomes such as donation or destruction, and routine KPI and month end reporting to surface variances. The full Sage X3 Warehousing application was used to enforce warehouse compliance and to provide the inventory ledger used by plant and finance teams. Integrations implemented include EDI transmissions for order and shipment messaging with trading partners, and operational interfaces that feed inventory status into finance and demand planning workflows. The WMS-enabled processes support third party cold storage management, allowing performance oversight and inventory reconciliation across external warehouse nodes and SK controlled sites. Execution of EDI and sales order processing was explicitly part of the operational scope and used to maintain an accurate sightline of stock across the network. Governance and process changes accompanied the rollout, including standardized cycle count procedures, formal training sessions for plant warehousing teams, documented inventory policies, and an approval pathway for inventory adjustment actions reviewed with management. The implementation placed day to day control with Inventory Managers and warehouse supervisors, while enabling collaboration with Accounts Receivable on shortage reporting and customer claims. The project narrative links SK Food Group, Sage X3 Warehousing, Warehouse Management, and inventory, warehouse and order management business functions into a single operational framework. | |
