Fuchs Oil, Gas and Chemicals 6427 $4.0B Germany SAP SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Materials Management (MM) Inventory Management 2007 Syntax In 2007 Fuchs implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Materials Management (MM) to establish standardized Inventory Management capabilities across procurement and materials operations. The deployment targeted core materials workflows including goods receipt, goods issue and stock movement processing aligned to manufacturing and plant supply needs. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Materials Management (MM) implementation consisted of configuring the material master, purchasing document types, inventory postings and physical inventory processes. Configuration work used Inventory Management terminology such as movement types and valuation classes, and included settings to support plant level stock control and periodic inventory cycles. Syntax served as the system integrator on the engagement, executing configuration, testing and cutover activities. Operational coverage focused on procurement teams, warehouse and plant materials management groups, with process mapping performed to harmonize purchase order to goods receipt workflows. Governance was established through centralized master data procedures and change control for materials and procurement records, accompanied by role based training and go live hypercare provided by Syntax. Process restructuring centered on standardized receiving, stock posting and inventory reconciliation procedures within the Inventory Management scope.
Fuchs Oil, Gas and Chemicals 6427 $4.0B Germany SAP SAP Warehouse Management Warehouse Management 2007 Syntax In 2007, Fuchs implemented SAP Warehouse Management, deploying SAP Warehouse Management within the organization to formalize warehouse execution in the Warehouse Management category. The initial deployment targeted core warehouse operations across Fuchs sites in Germany, aligning warehouse execution with procurement and inventory processes. Configuration emphasized SAP Warehouse Management functional modules common to the category, including storage bin management, warehouse task and order creation, goods movement posting, inbound receiving, putaway, picking and outbound shipping. The implementation applied standard WM configuration for bin level inventory accuracy and warehouse task automation while aligning material master data and item categorization for operational use. Integration architecture connected SAP Warehouse Management with SAP MM for material master and procurement workflows to ensure transactional consistency between purchasing, goods receipt, and warehouse postings. Syntax served as the system integrator, leading configuration, testing and cutover activities within the SAP application landscape, and operational ownership was assigned to logistics and warehouse operations teams. Governance established master data stewardship between SAP MM and WM, role based access controls for warehouse operators and inventory controllers, and structured change control during rollout. Ongoing SAP MM and WM competency has been maintained through in house SAP MM/WM consultants at FUCHS Group, supporting operational stability and application support for SAP Warehouse Management.
