The deployment positioned Sage 500 ERP (formerly MAS 500) as the central system for corporate accounting and regulatory reporting across the company, including preparation of state pages for 34 states during annual statement production. The implementation encompassed core financial modules for general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, and consolidation. Functional workflows documented and executed within the system included preparation of monthly and quarterly Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Loss & LAE Reports, balance sheet reconciliations, recording fixed asset additions and monthly depreciation entries, corporate overhead allocations, and posting consolidation and elimination entries. Financial reporting and reconciliation was integrated with FRx for MAS 500 to support month end close tasks, specifically to prepare balance sheet reconciliations monthly and quarterly. Accounts payable processes were governed through the Sage 500 ERP accounts payable module, supporting supervisory activities such as invoice approval, coding of prepaid invoices, and preparation of accounts payable proposals, while intercompany reconciliations ensured correct benefit period application and reversal of accruals. Operational scope and governance emphasized recurring close and compliance activities, with a monthly and quarterly cadence for financial reporting and reconciliations, plus annual statement support across multiple state filings. Business functions impacted included corporate finance, accounting, and statutory reporting, with system-controlled workflows for allocations, intercompany elimination, and depreciation posting to enforce consistent close procedures under the ERP Financial environment.
