Wabash Valley Power Alliance Utilities 150 $40M United States AT&T AT&T Cybersecurity (formerly AlienVault) Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) 2015 n/a In 2015, Wabash Valley Power Alliance implemented AT&T Cybersecurity (formerly AlienVault), an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution. The deployment was executed as an IT and engineering initiative to establish centralized endpoint monitoring and security analytics across field engineering and substation environments. The AT&T Cybersecurity (formerly AlienVault) implementation focused on standard Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) capabilities, including deployment of endpoint sensors, centralized event correlation and threat detection, and consolidated log management to support incident detection and investigation workflows. Configuration work emphasized endpoint telemetry collection, alerting rules aligned to utilities use cases, and integration points to feed operator dashboards. Work included building a Cascade system architecture to channel telemetry from substations and field devices into the EDR platform, enabling IT and engineering teams to consume unified security events. Operational coverage explicitly spanned IT and engineering groups, the field engineering substation entry and exit program, and related on-site device instrumentation. Governance and rollout activities were coordinated between IT and engineering, with a formal focus on training logistics, candidate travel, and staged field rollouts to align procedural controls with monitoring capabilities. The AT&T Cybersecurity (formerly AlienVault) Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) deployment provided Wabash Valley Power Alliance with consolidated endpoint visibility and incident detection workflows for operational and IT security functions.
