Apps Purchases: 10+ Million Software Purchases
Founded in 2010, APPS RUN THE WORLD is a leading technology intelligence and market-research company devoted to the application space. Leveraging a rigorous data-centric research methodology, we ask the simple B2B sales intelligence question: Who’s buying enterprise applications from whom and why?
Our global team of 50 researchers has been studying the digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by 2 million + companies including technographic segmentation of 10 million ERP, EPM, CRM, HCM, Procurement, SCM, Treasury software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions and perhaps the rise and fall of certain vendors and their products on a quarterly basis.
Apps Run The World Buyer Insight and Technographics Customer Database has over 100 data fields that detail company usage of emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database, and different on-prem and cloud apps by function, customer size (employees, revenues), industry, country, implementation status, year deal won, partner involvement, Line of Business Key Stakeholders and key decision-makers contact details, including the systems being used by Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 companies.

Karyopharm Therapeutics | Life Sciences | 385 | $157M | United States | Komodo Health | Komodo Healthcare Map | Analytics and BI | 2019 | n/a | In 2019 Karyopharm Therapeutics implemented Komodo Healthcare Map as an Analytics and BI capability to accelerate clinical trial targeting for COVID-19 related work. Komodo Healthcare Map was deployed rapidly to provide a ground-up, real-time view that threads clinical sites, physician engagement, and patient cohorts for trial planning and outreach. The implementation used Komodo’s real-time data to support cohort identification, provider targeting, site selection, and validation workflows, leveraging Analytics and BI functionality such as interactive visualization and rapid cohort generation. Functional emphasis was on patient-level and provider-level analytics to reach infectious disease physicians and validate targeting hypotheses, consistent with category-aligned reporting, segmentation, and operational dashboards. Operational scope centered on Global Medical and Scientific Affairs and clinical operations, with the platform used to accelerate targeting and validation for an upcoming global clinical trial. Karyopharm reported that Komodo’s technology and rapid deployment timeline enabled faster targeting of the right physicians, and that the vendor’s support would be critical to maximize the speed and efficiency of the trial.

Veradigm | Professional Services | 2600 | $588M | United States | Komodo Health | Komodo Healthcare Map | Analytics and BI | 2019 | n/a | In 2019, Veradigm implemented Komodo Healthcare Map as an Analytics and BI deployment through a long-term strategic partnership with Komodo Health. Veradigm, an Allscripts business unit, linked its ambulatory EHR data into Komodo Healthcare Map to produce a consolidated, longitudinal research dataset containing nearly 50 million deidentified patients. The implementation centralized encounter-level claims aggregation and patient-level longitudinal record linkage within Komodo Healthcare Map, aligning ambulatory EHR records with encounter data from more than 150 private and public payers. The work included curated deidentification and dataset curation workflows to generate research-ready cohorts and enable observational study design and evidence generation consistent with Analytics and BI capabilities. Technically the project ingested Veradigm ambulatory EHR feeds and mapped EHR identifiers to Komodo Healthcare Map encounter streams using record linkage and mapping processes. Operational coverage focused on life sciences research use cases, with the linked dataset provisioned to support life sciences companies investigating clinical outcomes and disease burden reduction. The engagement formalized a long-term strategic data governance arrangement between Veradigm and Komodo Health, emphasizing deidentification controls, data stewardship, and controlled research access. The Komodo Healthcare Map linked dataset is positioned to enable life sciences research by combining Allscripts ambulatory EHR content with payer encounter data to support cohort discovery and longitudinal analyses.
