Utilities | 1549 | $2.7B | Canada | PowerPlan | PowerPlan Capital Planning and Forecasting Suite | EPM | 2017 | In 2017 ENMAX implemented PowerPlan Capital Planning and Forecasting Suite, deploying the PowerPlan Capital Planning and Forecasting Suite to strengthen its finance capabilities. The implementation used the EPM application to centralize capital planning, forecasting and financial compliance processes within the finance organization. The deployment configured core modules for capital planning, integrated forecasting, financial compliance and corporate performance management, with configuration focused on budget orchestration and consolidated forecast workflows. Standard EPM functional capabilities were applied to enable rolling forecasts, capital project cost tracking and consolidated financial reporting across finance teams. Implementation of PowerPlan occurred as part of ENMAX’s broader Project One program, which combined parallel initiatives including IBM Maximo asset management and Workday financial management. KPMG in Canada served as the implementation advisor, guiding detailed planning, cross functional training and the alignment of configuration to ENMAX business requirements. Governance for the rollout emphasized intensive planning and a change management program to prepare employees for the new technology landscape, with cross functional training to support operational adoption. ENMAX positioned the PowerPlan Capital Planning and Forecasting Suite within this program to support its ongoing roadmap of finance and asset related innovations and to drive growth and customer value. | |
