Anchor Loans | Banking and Financial Services | 200 | $35M | United States | Sage | Sage Intacct | ERP Financial | 2019 |
In 2017 Anchor Loans selected Sage Intacct as its ERP Financial application to replace Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise. The selection followed a demonstration by Armanino LLP, which served as both Anchor Loans external auditor and the Sage Intacct implementation partner, and consensus emerged around Sage Intacct dimensional accounting and built-in financial reporting.
Armanino handled the implementation and migration of all historical QuickBooks data, and Sage Intacct went live in May 2018. The deployment centered on core accounting and financial reporting modules, including dimensional accounting, automated bank reconciliation workflows, and automated cost of funds calculations across seven financing vehicles.
Integration work explicitly linked Sage Intacct to Anchor Loans loan origination software to eliminate manual origination data entry into QuickBooks, improving accuracy and reducing effort. Operational coverage focused on the finance and accounting function across the company as Anchor Loans scaled loan originations from 1,600 in 2015 to over 3,000 annually and expanded operations from 17 to 46 U.S. states.
Governance and process changes were led jointly by Anchor Loans finance leadership and Armanino, with configuration and reconciliation workflows standardized in Sage Intacct. Measured outcomes included elimination of up to 16 hours a month of manual bank reconciliations, another 16 hours a month saved through automated cost of funds calculations, an additional eight hours a month recovered via the loan origination integration, and a reduction in balance sheet reconciliation from 12 business days to three business days.

Fortis Life Sciences | Life Sciences | 320 | $45M | United States | Microsoft | Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations | ERP Financial | 2021 |
In 2021 Fortis Life Sciences selected and began implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, engaging Armanino as the systems integrator and leveraging Microsoft as the vendor. The program targeted ERP Financial capabilities for a multi-company life science and biotech operating model, replacing Microsoft Dynamics AX and centralizing core financial and operational workflows under the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations platform.
Implementation work focused on requirements development, prototyping, and initial system configuration. Activities included industry-specific RFI development and scoping led by a Senior Technology Advisor, configuration prototyping, gap analysis, and the design of enhancements. The project prioritized core financial management and multi-entity consolidation capabilities consistent with ERP Financial functionality, accompanied by data migration planning from the prior Microsoft Dynamics AX environment.
Integration and architecture scope was explicitly scoped to connect the new Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations environment with eQMS, Salesforce, legacy ERP platforms, and eCommerce channels, and to evaluate third-party ISV extensions where required. The team produced preliminary integration architecture and functional definitions to support transactional and master data flows, and identified integration needs for downstream quality systems and commercial systems.
Governance and rollout activities were delivered through Armanino led workshops and training, with contract negotiation support, project scope definition, and security strategy and configuration defined as part of the program. The implementation included training delivered by Armanino, requirements workshops, data migration execution, enhancement design and testing, and security configuration to align operational controls with life sciences compliance expectations.

MaxLinear | Manufacturing | 1115 | $468M | United States | Microsoft | Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations | ERP Financial | 2023 |
In 2023 MaxLinear implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its ERP Financial backbone to centralize finance, procurement, and supply chain processes. Armanino led the deployment which migrated integrations from Microsoft Dynamics AX and consolidated Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Sales with Finance to create a unified approval and transaction platform.
The implementation leverages Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management capabilities for automated invoice and requisition workflows, approvals routing, and conversion of approved purchase requisitions into purchase orders. Workflow automation was configured to send approver notifications with invoice attachments by email and to surface requests in the Approvals app in Microsoft Teams, while Power Apps is being used to build contract routing, approval, and versioning functionality and a Copilot roadmap is in development to extend automation.
Critical integrations that supported MaxLinears outsourced manufacturing model were migrated from Microsoft Dynamics AX into Dynamics 365 to maintain supplier connectivity and lot movement visibility. Inbound manufacturing signals such as work in progress and goods and shipping transactions are automated into the ERP at least once per day to keep subcontractor production milestones and WIP accounting current, enabling traceability for yield loss and more accurate forecasting and production scheduling.
Governance was restructured around preset approval rules including buyer and spend limit criteria, which removed a third party requisition application and reduced dependency on IT for approvals integration. As configured, approved invoices are posted automatically and approved requisitions convert to purchase orders, outcomes that MaxLinear reports have reduced invoice processing time by approximately 30 percent and reduced manual procurement effort by approximately 70 percent.
