In 2017 Anchor Loans selected Sage Intacct as its ERP Financial application to replace Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise. The selection followed a demonstration by Armanino LLP, which served as both Anchor Loans external auditor and the Sage Intacct implementation partner, and consensus emerged around Sage Intacct dimensional accounting and built-in financial reporting.
Armanino handled the implementation and migration of all historical QuickBooks data, and Sage Intacct went live in May 2018. The deployment centered on core accounting and financial reporting modules, including dimensional accounting, automated bank reconciliation workflows, and automated cost of funds calculations across seven financing vehicles.
Integration work explicitly linked Sage Intacct to Anchor Loans loan origination software to eliminate manual origination data entry into QuickBooks, improving accuracy and reducing effort. Operational coverage focused on the finance and accounting function across the company as Anchor Loans scaled loan originations from 1,600 in 2015 to over 3,000 annually and expanded operations from 17 to 46 U.S. states.
Governance and process changes were led jointly by Anchor Loans finance leadership and Armanino, with configuration and reconciliation workflows standardized in Sage Intacct. Measured outcomes included elimination of up to 16 hours a month of manual bank reconciliations, another 16 hours a month saved through automated cost of funds calculations, an additional eight hours a month recovered via the loan origination integration, and a reduction in balance sheet reconciliation from 12 business days to three business days.
