In 2021, Facily implemented Oracle Retail Merchandising Cloud Service as part of a broader Oracle Cloud suite deployment to support its Retail Management needs in Brazil. Oracle Retail Merchandising Cloud Service was configured to manage merchandising, tax intelligence, pricing and margin calculations, and purchasing workflows. Oracle Cloud ERP centralized financial, accounting and tax management and provided a single master data model, while Oracle Warehouse Management drove inventory control, product sorting and picking workflows. The implementation created a fully auditable end to end purchasing process from ordering and approvals to accounts payable, and replaced numerous spreadsheet based processes with automated accounting and financial workflows.
The solution was integrated across the Oracle product portfolio and operationalized across finance, accounting, tax, inventory, logistics and customer service teams, including operations at distribution centers and a network of thousands of partner pickup points. Project partners included Oracle Consulting, BRX and TRI, and the cloud architecture delivered high availability with explicitly reported zero downtime across key systems, processes and commerce activities.
Governance emphasized documented procedures, role based access and training, with Oracle Consulting providing extensive documentation and training sessions. Facily reported that team members have well defined access to make certain modifications often without consulting, reflecting role based controls and decentralized configuration capability. Key resources were implemented in four months and the full program completed in nine months.
