In 2017, Louisiana-Pacific Corporation began implementing SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as part of a broader Compensation Management initiative, engaging Capgemini to lead the deployment. The initial 2017 phase concentrated on the first three modules, establishing core configuration and baseline HR self service workflows.
A year later LP configured and extended SAP SuccessFactors Compensation to include performance and goals, continuous performance management, compensation and variable pay, and Employee Central, expanding the system from core HR tasks into talent and pay management. SAP SuccessFactors Compensation was configured to provide managers with visibility into compensation data and to centralize variable pay processes alongside performance inputs.
Operational coverage spans HR professionals, front line shop floor employees, and managers, enabling self service access to employment and training information without manual HR requests. Managers use the application to view training status and employment records, integrating performance inputs with compensation decisions and succession planning workflows.
Governance included multi touch point access controls for managers and HR, and rollout sequencing that prioritized employee access and continuous performance workflows before advanced analytics. Capgemini led implementation practices to align role based access and to instrument succession planning and training gap identification as part of standard workflows.
Employees are reported to be seeing positive impacts from the deployment, and LP expects SAP SuccessFactors Compensation to support retention by helping identify training gaps, enable succession plans, and operationalize continuous performance plans. Future roadmap emphasis is on maturing analytical reporting as additional modules continue to be adopted.

In 2014 MAG (Airports Group) implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as its Core HR solution. The deployment was delivered by Capgemini and established SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as the central cloud HR information system for employee master data and organizational management across the enterprise.
The implementation focused on Core HR capabilities, with configuration centered on employee records, organizational structures, position and job data, and standard HR lifecycle workflows typical of a Core HR application. SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central was provisioned as a cloud SaaS platform and configured to support HR case handling and HR processes while enabling future integration points.
Integrations implemented as part of the program connected SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central with payroll landscape using SAP ECP payroll, ER Case Management, Benefits Management, and Workforce Management tooling referenced by the HR product team. The architecture reflects a cloud-centric Core HR hub approach, with Capgemini responsible for integration mapping, data model alignment, and cutover planning.
Ongoing governance is managed through a dedicated HR and Payroll product function that owns the SuccessFactors roadmap, backlog prioritisation, business process analysis, and cross-functional release coordination. The HR & Payroll product manager role drives alignment between technical delivery and non-technical stakeholders, orchestrating product improvements and staged releases to maintain SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as MAG (Airports Group) Core HR platform.
