In 2020 Blue Inc USA implemented Odoo Point Of Sale as the point of sale layer within a broader Odoo ERP rollout, implemented by Captivea LLC. The deployment targeted Point Of Sale workflows to unify shop floor transactions with back office processes for the Conover NC manufacturing site.
The technical implementation used Odoo ERP as the platform with Odoo Point Of Sale configured alongside Finance, Accounting, Invoicing, Sales, CRM, Inventory and MRP, Manufacturing, Purchase, Documents, Sign, Website Builder and eCommerce modules. Odoo Studio was applied for screen customizations and workflow configuration, and services modules including Project and Helpdesk were included to support post go live operational management.
Integrations and operational coverage were centered on real time inventory linkage between Point Of Sale and Inventory MRP, automated billing flows into Finance and Invoicing, and UPS Shipping for fulfillment. Operational scope covered sales counter operations, inventory control, purchasing coordination, manufacturing order flow and finance teams, reflecting manufacturing and customer service business functions.
Governance for the engagement followed a staged analysis and delivery model, starting with a complete analysis of the Odoo environment and business discovery workshops by theme to confirm feasibility, budget and timeline. Deliverables were produced, presented and iterated with client feedback, while Captivea managed configuration, customizations and rollout coordination to realize stated benefits such as time saving, automated billing, point-of-sale management, productivity gains, optimized purchasing and streamlined inventory management.
