Manufacturing | 30 | $3M | United Kingdom | Microsoft | Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central | ERP Financial | 2019 |
In 2019, GREG ROWE LIMITED implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its core ERP Financial system, migrating from Microsoft Dynamics NAV with Columbus as the system integrator. The engagement addressed rapid expansion and the need to collect, store and manage growing customer data flows to sustain high service levels for the United Kingdom based manufacturer of kitchen taps.
The implementation combined Microsoft Dynamics CRM with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to unify customer records and transactional processes, deploying ERP Financial capabilities for financial management, sales order processing and inventory-aware transaction recording. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was configured to record information originating at the CRM level into ERP transactions, enabling end-to-end order-to-cash and customer lifecycle workflows that align sales and back-office accounting.
Architecturally the project established a synchronized data flow between CRM and Business Central, consolidating customer master data and transactional posting in a single platform environment. The migration from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central centralized data and reduced fragmentation, while preserving Microsoft platform continuity under the Microsoft vendor stack.
Columbus executed the rollout and configuration work, with the operational scope focused on customer-facing functions and transactional finance processes to join CRM-level activities through to ERP transaction records. The stated outcome was full control from CRM through to recording of information into transactions at ERP level, joining up the whole circle and enabling more consistent customer data management across the business.
