Project governance included tightened disaster recovery procedures, formalised recovery time objectives and recovery point objectives, and an operational shift toward cloud cost control and capacity planning. The governance model supported platform optimisation after cutover and enabled the VLRS team to invest in forward-looking capabilities such as advanced data analytics for market insights, while maintaining strict availability and security standards. Outcomes reported by VLRS and Datacom were explicit, Amazon EC2 based operations delivered more than 70 per cent reduction in operating costs with savings reported up to AU$160,000 per month, disaster recovery time under 30 minutes, data recovery within 10 minutes, and system uptime of 99.995 per cent. The implementation provided improved scalability for transaction surges and greater control of IT spend, enabling the organisation to maintain registry integrity and continuous service for Victoria’s property market. | |
