FedEx | Transportation | 50000 | $87.7B | United States | E2open | E2open Logistyx Platform | Shipping Management | 2016 | In 2016 FedEx implemented the E2open Logistyx Platform for Shipping Management. The implementation targeted FedEx Logistics eCommerce and transportation operations and was aligned with a broader program between 2016 and 2018 to build a new eCommerce portal and integration layer. The E2open Logistyx Platform deployment was fronted by a Liferay Java portal and mediated by IBM Integration Bus, creating a modular architecture that separated presentation, orchestration, and integration layers. Functional capabilities deployed included carrier selection and rate shopping, label generation, shipment orchestration, tracking, and configurable shipping rules consistent with Shipping Management workflows. Integrations specified in the program connected the E2open Logistyx Platform to Zoura Billing Management System, Manhattan WMS and Logistyx TMS, with IBM Integration Bus serving as the middleware fabric to route order, fulfillment and billing messages. The integration topology supported order-to-shipment flows between the eCommerce checkout portal, warehouse execution and transportation management systems. Implementation partner g2o participated in the deployment and governance workstreams, and rollout was executed across FedEx Logistics channels between 2016 and 2018. Governance emphasized centralized orchestration rules and clarified operational handoffs between eCommerce operations, warehouse teams and carrier management to align Shipping Management processes with the new platform. | |

OSM Worldwide Expedited Shipping | Transportation | 130 | $20M | United States | E2open | E2open Logistyx Platform | Shipping Management | 2016 | In 2016, OSM Worldwide Expedited Shipping deployed E2open Logistyx Platform to standardize parcel operations across its nationwide premium ground network. The E2open Logistyx Platform, a Shipping Management solution, was configured with support from implementation partner g2o to centralize shipment orchestration, rating, tendering and visibility for a 130 person transportation operator serving high volume mailers. The implementation concentrated on core Shipping Management capabilities, including an enterprise rating engine, carrier-agnostic tendering and routing, shipment orchestration and automated manifesting, and end-to-end tracking and visibility. E2open Logistyx Platform was configured to expose API endpoints and to host the OSM Rating API for real-time rating and to drive automated carrier selection for parcels shipped at volumes of 500 plus per day. Integrations were explicitly implemented with existing parcel tooling and marketplace connections, including Endicia.com, Stamps.com, Shipstation.com, Shipworks.com, Proship, ADSI/Logistyx and IBS DesktopShipper, and with operational carrier injection processes at USPS Priority Mail Open and Distribute locations. Operational coverage included nationwide domestic ground lanes with a stated 2 to 5 day delivery time frame and coast to coast routing optimization, and the platform fed tracking visibility that surfaces on USPS.com for end customers. Rollout and governance were executed through a centralized operational model led by OSM operations and supported by g2o for systems integration and configuration, with API governance to manage rating and tendering flows. OSM positions the E2open Logistyx Platform implementation to reduce postage spend, increase transit speed and minimize customer service costs while supporting its premium network operations and daily USPS injection workflows. |
