Configuration work emphasized lead and opportunity workflows, account and contact model adjustments, security role alignment, and sales process automation consistent with Sales Automation,Sales Engagement capabilities.
Integrations were scoped around Power Automate processes to connect automated workflows into the CRM lifecycle, with data migration utilities used to preserve historical CRM records and relationships. Operational coverage focused on sales and customer relationship management workflows, with solution architecture built on the Dynamics 365 SaaS model and customized entity and process layers to support ongoing engagement needs.
Governance elements included workshop-driven process standardization, iterative conversion of processes to use the latest Dynamics 365 functionality, and handover to Defaqto staff for ongoing administration. Xpedition provided implementation support across configuration, testing, and deployment phases, while documentation and process mapping were used to embed new workflows into day to day sales operations.

In 2023, GMK migrated from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its core ERP Financial platform. Xpedition led a four to five month implementation to provision a cloud ready Business Central instance, with a final cutover executed over a weekend to minimize operational disruption.
The implementation configured Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to support finance, purchasing and warehouse operations, with manufacturing support for production order processing and bill of materials routines. Service order management was enabled to track warranty and non warranty repairs, and GMK specific customisations such as the complex stock matrix tool were ported to preserve existing functionality and investment.
Operational automation was implemented in warehouse processes, including automated picking and receiving using handheld scanning devices and integration of warehouse and courier operations for automated despatch label generation. Business Central also supports retail and online sales channels and underpins servicing and repair activities while continuing to serve manufacturing activity for Holland & Holland and specialist R and D projects for police and military customers.
The deployment was integrated with SAP Business Objects as the preferred data repository for management reporting, creating a reporting layer with Business Central as the transactional source. The rollout covered three legal entities, about 70 to 80 staff across the group and a 30000 ft2 warehouse processing roughly 50 to 100 orders per day, and the familiar Microsoft user interface kept training overheads low while allowing user specific dashboards and personalization.
Governance and operational intent focused on future proofing, protecting GMK investments in customisations and reducing upgrade effort, with Business Central providing enhanced accessibility, security and disaster recovery capabilities. The project preserved Microsoft ecosystem continuity, positioned the organisation for easier automated upgrades in future releases and established Business Central as the backbone of GMK group day to day operations.
