The implementation targeted payroll and pension operations supporting a workforce of approximately 3,000 employees and established a centralized payroll function staffed in Sligo, County Sligo, Ireland, to coordinate Finance and Corporate HR workflows. Access PeopleXD (formerly CoreHR) was configured to run core payroll processing, pension administration, tax and PAYE compliance, month end and year end payroll routines, and operational reporting. Configuration emphasized approval workflows, payroll taxation rules, payroll and pension reconciliations, and a monthly metric reporting process used by the payroll and finance teams. Operationally the solution was used to manage daily payroll transactions, pension statements and ad hoc payroll reporting, and to surface information for timely responses to employee and management payroll and pension queries. The payroll team retained close operational liaison with Corporate HR and with external tax advisers for expatriate employees, using Access PeopleXD outputs alongside spreadsheet analysis to support PAYE returns and expatriate tax handling. Governance and process workstreams included the design and deployment of payroll procedures, ownership of internal control accuracy for payroll and pension processing, and structured month end and annual reconciliations.
