| Xero | Legacy | Xero Accounting | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2018 | 2019 | In 2018, Aeralife implemented Xero Accounting to centralize core finance processes across its support office and residential aged care homes in Victoria and New South Wales. Xero Accounting was adopted as the ERP Financial application to provide a single source for general ledger, invoicing, bank reconciliation, and accounts receivable workflows for the organization. The Xero Accounting deployment focused on accounts receivable capabilities, configured to support consumer account setup and maintenance, invoicing, processing cheques and direct debits, and routine bank reconciliation. Configuration emphasized operational tasks described in role-level workflows, including follow-up on overdue debtor balances in line with organisational policies, account reconciliation procedures, and the ability to export and manipulate transaction data for downstream analysis. Operationally, accounts receivable workstreams used Xero Accounting alongside the AIM Software Billing system referenced in role requirements, with Xero serving as the financial posting and reporting layer for site and support-office transactions. Financial activities conducted through Xero supported liaison with external stakeholders such as Suppliers, the ATO, SRO, State Trustees, and the Department of Veterans Affairs, and provided the transactional ledger for finance teams and the Finance Business Partner. Governance was organized around the Finance Business Partner structure, with Accounts Receivable Officers responsible for account integrity, stakeholder enquiries, and administrative controls that governed invoicing and collections processes. Workflow standardization included documented account setup rules, reconciliation cadence, and escalation paths for overdue accounts, aligning operational processes with Xero Accounting as the ERP Financial backbone for Aeralife. |
