In 2020, AES Eletropaulo implemented SAP S/4HANA Utilities. The deployment was executed within the Utilities ERP domain to consolidate core distribution business functions, focusing on billing, customer care, and meter to cash workflows for distribution operations in Brazil.
The SAP S/4HANA Utilities implementation configured standard utilities capabilities consistent with the Utilities ERP category, including contract account and billing configuration, customer service process orchestration, and metering data handling. The program was aligned with an earlier SAP ECC plus IS-U and CCS migration to cloud in Latin America, and it formed a central component of Project E4E, a Global ERP Rollout to consolidate processes and systems across Enel Group distribution entities.
Integrations and operational coverage included explicit linkage to a Salesforce based project called Project Format for Rio de Janeiro, and orchestration with a Contact Center cloud solution under Project CCaaS for multiple distribution companies. The rollout encompassed distribution companies across São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Ceará within the Enel Group footprint, collectively covering approximately 15 million customers and leveraging new local datacenters and operations centers as part of the deployment topology.
Governance and program management were directed from the Global Digital Solutions leadership in Brazil, with a 180 person IT organization overseeing configuration, rollout sequencing and transitional service agreement definition for carve out activities. Reported achievements tied to the program include an increase in IT governance maturity in Brazil and execution of one of the largest SAP ECC plus IS-U and CCS migrations to cloud in Latam, with SAP S/4HANA Utilities serving as the enterprise ERP backbone for distribution business functions.

| Tableau Software | Legacy | Tableau | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013, AES Eletropaulo implemented Tableau as a central visualization layer within its Analytics and BI environment. The Tableau deployment targeted commercial and executive reporting workflows, explicitly supporting the board and the commercial area through management dashboards and scheduled distribution of executive panels.
The implementation produced a range of functional modules including management data analysis and reporting for contracted demand, average consumption, average billing, generated leads, number of installations and circuits, tariff category, and free market customers. Additional Tableau workbooks and panels covered energy quality, ICMS credit monitoring, lowlights and area highlights, a customer segmentation project, and a consolidated panel analyzing defaulting customers including PCLD and current debt. Visual outputs were also prepared for presentations and executive reviews using PowerPoint and think Cell driven from Tableau extracts.
Tableau was integrated with operational data sources identified in the environment, notably an Access based CRM database that tracked managers visits and Excel workbooks used for interim analysis, and it consumed billing inputs from the SAP system for pole rental accounting. Leads generated by AES Ergos were included and controlled within the commercial dashboards, and customer relationship center metrics such as TME, TMA, service level, and call retention from the ombudsman were brought into the general panel. Dashboards were constructed for automated sending to the commercial area and the board to consolidate commercial data flows.
Governance and operationalization centered on development control, scheduled dashboard distribution, and portfolio distribution processes for large accounts managers. The rollout included establishing the General Panel as a single source for CRM and call center KPIs and formalizing the inclusion and control of external leads into the commercial workflow. Tableau served as the primary Analytics and BI tool to orchestrate these commercial reporting and segmentation processes and to provide structured information to support board decision making.
