In 2018, AG Team implemented McLeod LoadMaster as its central Transportation Management application to standardize freight planning and carrier operations across its Dunkirk, New York site in the United States. The deployment positioned McLeod LoadMaster as the system of record for shipping status, load matching, rate negotiation, accessorial charge assignment, and basic claims intake, aligning with the companys small operator footprint and 40 employee structure.
McLeod LoadMaster was configured to support core TMS functional modules including dispatch and load planning, carrier management and tendering, track and trace, accessorial and detention charge entry, customer account posting, and shipment claims logging. Role based access and workflow controls were applied to reflect operational responsibilities, with Freight Planners operating as a combined carrier sales and track and trace function, Account Managers receiving status updates, and Carrier Relations overseeing carrier relationships. Training for frontline Freight Planners was established at eight to twelve weeks on first shift to ensure accurate entry and adherence to process expectations.
Operational integrations focused on two explicit touchpoints, internal updates to customer portals and external queries to carrier tracking websites, with McLeod LoadMaster serving as the authoritative source for shipment records and reporting. Governance emphasized accountability for data accuracy, timely status communication to Account Managers, and consistent assignment of accessorials and monies owed within customer accounts, supporting day to day operations in the Operations, Carrier Relations, and Account Management functions.
