ServiceNow Legacy ServiceNow AI Platform Generative AI Platforms AI Development Ejada Systems Company 2025 2025
In 2025, Al Rajhi Bank signed a multi-year agreement to deploy the ServiceNow AI Platform, a Generative AI Platforms solution, across its operations in Saudi Arabia. The agreement engages ServiceNow and Ejada Systems Company to unify and automate workflows across HR, IT and Financial Services, establishing a single intelligent platform layer intended to advance service delivery and real-time decision making across the bank's nationwide footprint. The implementation centers on ServiceNow AI Platform capabilities including IT service management, AIOps, business operations orchestration and operational resilience, combined with automation and intelligent workflow instrumentation. Configuration work is focused on embedding AI-driven workflows to accelerate incident resolution, automate routine service tasks and standardize processes that underpin employee and customer experience across service domains. Ejada Systems Company will act as the consulting and implementation partner, working closely with ServiceNow to deploy and manage the platform across the bank's operational topology, which includes more than 515 branches, a national ATM and POS network and remittance centers. The deployment is scoped as a bankwide, multi-year rollout that consolidates service layers and operational controls into a unified platform, aligning platform governance with the bank's enterprise operations and regional regulatory expectations. Governance and operationalization will emphasize centralized workflow orchestration, AI model stewardship and cross-functional process standardization to embed intelligent decision support into HR, IT and Financial Services operations. The initiative is described as one of the region's largest digital agreements, intended to reduce manual work, accelerate response times and unlock greater operational agility while supporting Saudi Arabia's wider digital objectives.

Ripple Legacy Ripple Blockchain Blockchain Platform Blockchain n/a 2017 2017
In 2017 Al Rajhi Bank completed a secure cross-border money transfer using Ripple Blockchain, marking the first recorded use of Ripple Blockchain in Saudi Arabia. Al Rajhi Bank implemented Ripple Blockchain as a Blockchain Platform to support cross-border remittance and settlement between its Head Offices in Riyadh and Jordan, signaling a pilot-scale production use for international transfers. The implementation focused on payment settlement and reconciliation capabilities native to Ripple Blockchain, instrumenting immutable ledger records and automated settlement workflows to shorten end-to-end transfer flows. Configuration emphasized cross-border payment rails and intra-day liquidity orchestration, with process automation applied to reconciliation and settlement handoffs to reduce manual reconciliation steps. Operational coverage for the deployment included intra-group transfers between Riyadh and Jordan and was positioned to extend to the bank’s retail and corporate remittance flows, leveraging the bank’s network of over 200 remittance centres across the Kingdom. Al Rajhi Bank worked closely with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency to explore wider availability of the solution to retail and corporate customers, indicating a coordination layer between the bank and the regulator. Governance for the initiative was led from the executive level, with CEO and COO endorsements used to validate the pilot and guide rollout decisions, and process owners reworking settlement and reconciliation procedures to align with distributed ledger records. The project reframed operational ownership for intraday liquidity management and settlement predictability, embedding blockchain recordkeeping into existing treasury and payments workflows. Outcomes stated by the bank included reduced delivery times, lower cost and enhanced accuracy for cross-border transfers, along with expectations of reduced processing costs and improved predictability and efficiency of intra-day liquidity management. The Ripple Blockchain implementation served as a proof point in Al Rajhi Bank’s broader digitization of customer banking experiences.
