Unit4 Financials (ex CODA Financial) was configured to support standard ERP Financial capabilities, including supplier invoice processing, supplier payment proposals, manual payment allocation, accounts receivable postings, customer statement generation, receipt allocation, manual customer invoicing and credit notes, and daily banking postings with weekly bank reconciliations. The implementation reflected operational requirements documented by finance staff, such as processing supplier invoices through Tropos or Coda according to work stream and assisting with preparation of payment proposals.
Operational coverage explicitly included accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank operations and credit control within the Finance department, and responsibilities extended to supplier statement reconciliation, liaison with purchasing for goods not booked in on Tropos, and highlighting purchase variances to the Cost Accountant. The environment required management of finance generic e mail boxes and routine reporting of debtor balances on the creditor ledger as part of month end and control activities.
Governance and workflow controls were applied to invoice authorization, with finance staff using workflow to obtain compliance authorisation for supplier invoices and credit notes. The project preserved the ERP integration contract with Epicor Tropos ERP, ensuring transactional posting and reporting flows remained aligned with manufacturing and warehouse operations.
Governance followed a one year program cadence from October 2020 to October 2021, with iterative application refactoring, code standardization to C#, and rework of WinForms MVP components to align with the Epicor Tropos ERP interfaces. Allergy Therapeutics Epicor Tropos ERP Manufacturing ERP integration focused on reducing technical debt in the logistics application stack while centralizing transaction flows through the ERP.
