In 2013, Alliance Bank implemented Oracle PeopleSoft ERP as its ERP Financial application. The Oracle PeopleSoft ERP deployment was led by the bank's IT application support function in Kuala Lumpur and positioned the system as the ERP Financial backbone for finance and HR business functions.
The implementation included configuration of core financial management capabilities alongside HRMS PeopleSoft, with integration touch points to the bank's trade finance system, operational risk management tooling and unit trust applications. Customization and application logic were handled using PeopleCode and structured reporting leveraged Crystal Reports for operational and regulatory reporting needs.
Operational architecture was managed across AIX and Windows environments with database platforms including Oracle and MS SQL referenced in support responsibilities, and secured file transfer protocols used for batch and interface workflows. System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing were executed as part of the rollout, and application management covered change control for application objects to maintain system integrity.
Governance followed formal SDLC processes, including requirements analysis, SIT review, UAT script review, and SDLC documentation aligned to internal GIS guidelines. The IT team retained responsibility for audit remediation follow up, DRP and BCP testing for business applications, and managing changes to ensure compliance with internal control and regulatory requirements.

In 2010 Alliance Bank initiated an iHRMS implementation, deploying Oracle PeopleSoft HCM as its Core HR platform. The program ran from October 2010 to February 2011 and delivered PeopleSoft HRMS 9.0 capabilities to support HR and benefits administration across the bank.
Alliance Bank developed and configured a Manage Medical module inside Oracle PeopleSoft HCM, with explicit functional builds for Employee Self Service, Manager Self Service and an Administrator page. Configuration work included role based access control for ESS and MSS, form and workflow configuration for medical claim submission and approval, and administrator interfaces for record maintenance and status tracking.
Operational coverage centered on HR and benefits teams, line managers and the employee population of approximately 3,959 staff in Malaysia, using Employee Self Service for submissions and Manager Self Service for approvals. The implementation emphasized HR workflow orchestration and manager approval processes consistent with Core HR functional patterns, aligning the Manage Medical module with existing HR procedures.
Delivery followed a module focused rollout between October 2010 and February 2011, incorporating development, testing, and administrator training for the Manage Medical module and the Administrator page. Governance was driven by HR process ownership, structured testing cycles for ESS and MSS, and a formal handover of operational responsibility to HR operations and benefits administration.

In 2025, Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad implemented SAS Asset and Liability Management to strengthen its interest rate and liquidity risk management under the Enterprise Asset Management category. The deployment is positioned to elevate monitoring and oversight across the bank's ALM function, aligning operational controls with Bank Negara Malaysia risk and liquidity guidelines and enabling faster, more accurate business decisions.
The implementation emphasizes core ALM capabilities, including advanced stress testing, scenario analysis, predictive analytics, depositor concentration tracking and enhanced liquidity analytics. SAS Asset and Liability Management was configured to deliver robust daily reporting and to support simulations and analyses that inform immediate funding decisions, while automation was used to reduce manual interventions and operational friction.
Architecturally the solution is presented as a centralized data and analytics platform that consolidates transactional and deposit data to drive daily reporting, liquidity simulations and automated workflows for ALM processes. The platform operationalizes predictive models and scenario engines alongside a reporting layer that supports daily oversight and governance of interest rate and liquidity exposures.
Operational scope focuses on the bank's risk management and treasury functions within the Malaysian business, with process transformation to automate roughly 90 percent of ALM processes as part of the rollout. Governance changes include formalizing daily reporting and liquidity monitoring protocols to meet supervisory expectations, and the bank has forecasted annual savings from streamlined data sharing and reduced manual work as part of the adoption of SAS Asset and Liability Management.
