Altana's FIS Treasury (Integrity) solution became the hub of the treasury technology framework by automating processes that were previously performed manually and providing a central repository for treasury reporting. The implementation integrated the FIS suite with SAP and ancillary systems to streamline information flows and ensure payables processing fed into treasury reporting and controls. This positioned FIS Integrated Payables within a broader treasury and finance technology stack rather than as an isolated payments tool. Functional capabilities implemented reflected standard AP Automation functionality, including automated invoice capture and validation, payment orchestration and scheduling, approval workflows, and consolidated treasury reporting. Integrations with SAP and other ancillary systems enabled end to end transaction flow, reconciliation and reporting within the treasury environment, supporting tighter information governance. Operational scope concentrated on treasury and finance functions, with governance changes that automated manual tasks and created a central reporting repository so the technology environment could be evolved in line with changing treasury requirements.

The deployment was executed as a worldwide rollout under the Core HR category, with the explicit objective of consolidating all HR master data into a single system to simplify reporting and standardize HR processes. The SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central implementation centralized employee master records and configured Core HR workflows to support global HR process standardization, reporting, and digital access for the workforce. As part of the rollout Altana provisioned around 480 additional user accounts to provide IT access to colleagues who do not require personalized daily accounts, and the project also delivered a global learning platform with target group specific e-learning assigned to employees. Integration work focused on improving the interface for transferring employee data to IT, which reduced duplicate maintenance and raised data quality, while simplifying ongoing data maintenance processes. Operational coverage was global, encompassing both on-site workplaces in laboratories, production, and logistics and mobile or remote workers, and the implementation impacted HR, IT provisioning, learning and development, and recruitment-related HR processes. Governance was managed through the companywide HR Transformation program and coordinated by worldwide management to align central design with local legal and site-specific conditions in a new hybrid work environment. The implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central enabled simplified reporting, avoided multiple maintenance of records, and improved data quality, and it established a single Core HR backbone for continued HR process refinement.

Governance and rollout responsibilities were assigned to the SAP Competence Center and BI Engineers, who coordinated BI projects in the area of Finance and Sustainability Reporting and maintained platform standards and reporting controls. Ongoing activities included platform configuration, data model governance, and coordination of group wide reporting requirements.
