| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle E-Business Suite | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2017 | 2018 |
In 2017 Amway implemented Oracle E-Business Suite, deploying a single production instance located in the United States. The rollout targeted ERP Financial operations and extended across 56 countries under a consolidated single-instance architecture.
Configuration work emphasized core financial modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Procure to Pay, aligned to standard ERP Financial workflows. The implementation included module configuration, automation of release processes, and adoption of DevOps and Agile practices to support iterative delivery and environment orchestration.
Program activities ran alongside implementation efforts for Oracle Fusion led by the same enterprise applications team, with operational support models organized for geographically distributed users and third party vendors. Data governance practices and policies were implemented to enforce data quality, consistency, and compliance across the single Oracle E-Business Suite instance.
Operational governance incorporated ITSM processes based on ITIL in the areas of Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management and Release Management, together with project-level oversight of scope, resources, budget and stakeholder communications. Oracle E-Business Suite served as the central ERP Financial system underpinning global finance and procurement workflows.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2012 | 2013 |
In 2012, Amway implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as a global Core HR solution. The rollout followed executive sign-off to deploy the SuccessFactors BizX Suite and prioritized an on-demand cloud delivery model accessible via browser to support worldwide access.
Employee Central was configured as the core module to provide a single source of employee data and standardized business processes, integrating core employee records with SuccessFactors talent management capabilities. Functional configuration centered on core HR data modeling, workforce directory and master data consolidation, and cloud-native access to reduce local maintenance overhead.
The program was executed in two waves with an operational scope targeting alignment of approximately 21,000 employees across 100 countries, and included integrations with many of Amway’s existing payroll, HR and other ERP systems to consolidate enterprise employee information. Integration work focused on bi-directional employee record exchange and orchestration of core HR feeds into downstream payroll and HR back-end systems to enable consolidated human capital planning.
Governance featured executive-level sign-off and a phased roll-out to enforce consistent global processes, transitioning away from manual spreadsheet-based HR processes that previously covered about half the company. Outcomes explicitly stated include a centralized Core HR capability in the cloud via SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, a single system for employee data and well-defined global HR processes, and a reduced maintenance burden by hosting core HR on an on-demand platform.
