| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2007 | 2008 |
In 2007 Amcor implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform to support manufacturing supply chain, production and finance integration. The deployment emphasized alignment of financial posting and operational execution across materials, production and maintenance processes within the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 environment.
Configuration activity centered on SAP PP, PM and MM, addressing BOM management, routings, production orders, work orders, production costing and production reporting. Implementation teams performed SAP configuration, authored functional specifications, executed testing and validation, and used data migration tools including SAP LSMW to load master and transactional data. Demand planning, warehouse management and materials management workflows were modeled inside the SAP application and selective customizations were applied where standard packaged functionality required extension.
The program documented and operated integration points between PP and the MM and PM modules to ensure material availability, production order status and maintenance coordination, and experience with Logility and other third party logistics systems and their integration to SAP was identified as a functional integration requirement. Operational coverage focused on Supply Chain and Operations internal customers and supported multi-country and multi-business model implementation scenarios rather than a single-site footprint.
Governance and process controls included formal change management processes, development of user documentation and work instructions, delivery of end user training and a day to day support model providing SAP PP, PM and MM application expertise. Project leadership responsibilities included leading SAP analysis, implementation and customization initiatives, and establishing best practice process designs for Amcor’s manufacturing operations.
Personnel and delivery expectations reflect execution of at least two full cycle SAP implementations or large scale ERP projects for manufacturing clients, with configuration responsibilities spanning PP, PM, MM, IM and WM modules. Ongoing operational work encompassed production planning configuration, preventative maintenance and repair process mapping, production reporting and the use of SAP tools for data migration and system sustainment.

In 2019 Amcor implemented PAFnow Process Mining to add event-driven process discovery and analytics capability within its North American operations. The implementation positioned PAFnow Process Mining as the analytics layer for process transparency across manufacturing and supply chain functions, aligning the application with Amcor business process improvement and process governance efforts.
The deployment centered on process discovery, conformance checking, performance analysis, and visual process exploration modules, using PAFnow Process Mining to surface throughput, bottlenecks, and variant analysis. Configuration emphasized Power BI native visualization and model-driven process views, enabling analysts and operations leads to interrogate event logs and derive operational hypotheses.
Integrations were implemented with Amcor's existing BI infrastructure through Microsoft's Power BI, leveraging PAFnow Process Mining as an installation free add on for Power BI users and embedding process visualizations into operational dashboards. Operational coverage focused on North American manufacturing and supply chain sites, with cross functional consumption by manufacturing engineering, operations, and continuous improvement teams.
Governance and rollout used a centralized analytics ownership model, where process owners validated discovered process maps and CI teams operationalized corrective workflows through existing BI governance and change management channels. The PAFnow Process Mining deployment was structured to be noninvasive, using the customer data ecosystem without requiring new platform infrastructure, and to integrate into Amcor workflows for ongoing process monitoring.
