In 2017 American Bureau of Shipping implemented Oracle Cloud ERP, migrating from Oracle E-Business Suite into a cloud-based ERP Financial environment. The program centered on replacing on-premises ERP functionality with Oracle Cloud ERP to support core finance and HR processes across the organization.
The implementation delivered Oracle Cloud Financials R13 reporting and Global HR capabilities, with development of HCM Extracts, OBI reports and OTBI analytics for Global HR, Absence Management and Talent Management. Financial reporting work included OTBI, Smart View and FRS based processes, and custom BIP report development for Payables, Receivables, General Ledger and Project Accounting, as well as HR reporting aligned to user requirements.
Integrations were implemented using REST API services, including a bespoke integration service to create AP invoice installments through REST API and inbound loading of payable invoices from Navisphere into Oracle in the development instance. The deployment covered Payroll Interface and Fusion Benefits connections, aligning HR payroll and benefits feeds with the Oracle Cloud ERP platform and tying project accounting and payables workflows into the cloud financial ledger.
Governance and operational readiness included a structured gap analysis comparing Oracle seeded reports versus custom reports, preparation of a reporting flowchart and an OTBI and BIP reporting cheat sheet to standardize report creation and consumption. These artifacts supported reporting governance, change control for custom reports and operational handoff between finance and HR teams.

In 2015 American Bureau of Shipping implemented Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits as part of a broader Fusion HCM deployment. Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits is classified in the Benefits Administration category and was delivered alongside Core HR, Employee and Manager Self Service, Talent Management including Succession and Performance Management, and Compensation Management.
The implementation focused on configuring benefits enrollment, eligibility rules, life event processing, and benefits lifecycle workflows consistent with Benefits Administration capabilities. Configuration work captured plan definitions, eligibility cohorts, and employee self service enrollment flows, while manager self service enabled approvals and exception handling for benefits changes.
The deployment was executed as a global cloud rollout across two major business units operating in over 80 countries, placing Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits into the enterprise Fusion HCM suite to provide a unified HR and benefits record. Operational coverage emphasized HR, talent, and compensation functions across the organization rather than single-site or regional silos.
Program governance was led by a program manager who oversaw the Fusion HCM implementation from January 2014 to November 2014, facilitating project teams, aligning configuration choices with business goals, and guiding rollout tasks and governance practices. This centralized program management model governed benefit policy configuration, testing cycles, and the global cutover approach for the Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits deployment.

| Tableau Software | Legacy | Tableau | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2017 | 2019 |
In 2017, American Bureau of Shipping implemented Tableau as a central analytics platform. Tableau is deployed to support the Strategic Pricing Group and Pricing Analysts, serving as the organization’s Analytics and BI tool to monitor pricing processes and to support Executive Management in crafting pricing strategies for new and established services.
The implementation emphasizes interactive dashboards and self-service reporting for pricing analyses, including visualization of price bands, service-level pricing comparisons, and scenario-based analyses used to structure and execute pricing reviews. Configuration work focused on standardized dashboards, scheduled reporting, data blending for cross-service views, and user-facing tools that Pricing Analysts can use to operationalize pricing policies and to train personnel on pricing workflows.
Tableau supports global, cross-functional project teams by consolidating pricing, sales and finance data into role-based dashboards, enabling simultaneous review of multiple service pricing initiatives. The deployment was scoped to provide analytical support for special pricing projects, to monitor the review process that defines pricing strategies, and to ensure approved pricing policies are surfaced to internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
Governance for the Tableau environment centers on pricing policy enforcement, access controls for sensitive pricing views, and a structured rollout that included facilitation and hands-on training for personnel who operationalize pricing processes. The Pricing Analyst function uses Tableau to deliver repeatable analyses, support multiple service pricing reviews, and to communicate pricing recommendations to the Pricing Manager and Executive Management.
