In 2005, American Heart implemented Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to consolidate its finance and accounting systems. The deployment targeted ERP Financial capabilities to centralize general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, procurement, and financial reporting for the organization.
Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne was configured with standard financial modules and extensible reporting templates, including multi ledgers and period close controls, budget control workflows, and capital asset tracking aligned to nonprofit accounting requirements. Configuration work emphasized automation of voucher and invoice processing, structured month end procedures, and role based access controls for segregation of duties.
Operational coverage focused on the finance organization across the United States, delivering core accounting, treasury, and reporting workflows through the Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne implementation. Interface points were defined to support external financial data exchange and centralized reporting consolidation without naming specific third party systems.
A JDEdwards consultant supported configuration and rollout activities, with governance centered on finance process ownership, change control for chart of accounts and reporting artifacts, and targeted training for accounting teams. Rollout used staged module enablement and centralized operational support to stabilize core ERP Financial processes.

In 2020, American Heart deployed Workday Absence Management to centralize time off administration and leave workflows across HR and payroll operations. Workday Absence Management is implemented as the organization solution within the Absence and Leave Management category, supporting absence requests, approvals, and leave balance visibility for HR stakeholders.
Configuration work was executed alongside existing Workday modules, with the HRIS team documenting and supporting HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Performance, Time Tracking, and Absence. The implementation included standard absence plans, eligibility and accrual rule configuration, and orchestration with the Time Tracking module to align time off entries with employee time records and payroll feeds.
Integrations were delivered to maintain payroll integrity and recruitment continuity, the HRIS function supports the data flow from Workday into ADP Payroll and supports recruitment system integrations such as ICIMS as part of broader HR interface management. The HRIS analyst role covers report administration for custom reports, management of third party interfaces, and day to day support to HR and Payroll communities, ensuring the Workday Absence Management application interoperates with downstream systems.
Governance and operational control were formalized through system analysis, testing plans, test scripts, and scheduled patch and upgrade participation by the HRIS team. Service level expectations, data validation routines, and issue resolution workflows are embedded in ongoing support processes, with the HRIS team accountable for data integrity, reporting, and interface maintenance for the absence management environment.

| Quadient | Legacy | Quadient Neopost IN-700 | Mailing System | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2011 | 2011 |
In 2011, American Heart deployed Quadient Neopost IN-700 as its primary Mailing System. The Quadient Neopost IN-700 was implemented at the Chicago site to support centralized mail operations and event logistics for American Heart and affiliated Midwest chapters, providing a purpose built mailing device within the organization’s mailroom infrastructure.
The implementation emphasized core Mailing System capabilities such as postage metering, automated envelope sealing, certified and registered mail accounting, and postage reconciliation workflows, aligned with day to day responsibilities that included processing incoming and outgoing mail and maintaining monthly logs and receipts. The solution also supported mailroom adjacent functions including duplicating and distribution services, preparation of presentation books, and facility level document handling that interfaced with copying and facsimile equipment on site.
Operationally the deployment was integrated into carrier and shipment workflows, with mailroom staff processing and coordinating FedEx and UPS shipments alongside postal operations, and managing secure handling of donor checks and cash donations. The mailing device and procedures were used to support large nonprofit events and programs such as Heart Ball, Heart Walk, Go Red Luncheon for Women, and Cycle Nation, and to provision supplies and mailing services for AHA Midwest affiliates.
Governance and process controls reflected mailroom practice and training, staff were trained in mailroom and duplicating procedures, monthly certified mail receipts were maintained for auditability, and mailroom personnel coordinated vendor contacts and minor equipment repairs. Chain of custody for registered mail and donor payments and standardized logs were central to operational control of the Quadient Neopost IN-700 Mailing System at American Heart.
