| SAP | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | SAP S/4 HANA Finance | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 Amey implemented SAP S/4 HANA Finance within an ERP Financial program. The initiative established a clear migration path from SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4 HANA Finance, positioning the finance function for operation in a hybrid SAP landscape that combines on-premise cores with SAP Cloud Platform services and cloud business network capabilities.
The implementation encompassed configuration across core financial and operational modules, including FI CO MM SD PS CS HR PY, and focused on end to end processes such as Source to Pay, Order to Cash, Record to Report and HCM process interactions. Workstreams emphasized hands on configuration of SAP enterprise objects for contract mobilisations such as plants, sales organisations and company codes, along with functional design, build, QA, test and Early Life Support activities.
Architecturally the deployment retained integration links to SRM, ESS MSS, BW, Business Objects, PI and Data Services as part of the wider SAP landscape, with collaboration between BASIS and ABAP teams to complete object development and testing. SAP Solution Manager was used for process mapping to SAP standard solutions and to manage change requests, while attention to enterprise data models and master data governance supported cross module consistency.
Governance and delivery shifted toward a more agile dev ops bimodal IT model, with SAP architects and SMEs providing business and technical analysis, configuration guidance and application research. The program emphasized structured customer engagement, incident response and continuous documentation updates including functional, technical, testing and training scripts to support rollout in a matrix reporting environment with multiple stakeholders.

| Microsoft | SAP Business Objects XI R3.1 | Microsoft Power BI | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Amey implemented Microsoft Power BI in the Analytics and BI category to centralize reporting and analytics across the business. The deployment replaced SAP Business Objects XI R3.1 and established a robust automated data pipeline from SAP Business Objects to Microsoft Power BI, removing manual Excel based calculations and centralizing calculation logic into the reporting platform.
Implementation emphasized repeatable extract, transform, load processes and curated Power BI datasets and dataflows, with data modeling, interactive reporting, and scheduled refresh to support self service and operational reporting. Configuration work translated spreadsheet calculations into the Power BI data model, parameterized queries and published datasets to standardize metrics and reduce reliance on ad hoc spreadsheets.
The integration connected SAP Business Objects as the enterprise source to Microsoft Power BI to feed centralized dashboards consumed by finance and project reporting functions, with governance anchored on dataset promotion and refresh scheduling. Rollout included dataset lineage documentation, controlled report publication, and migration of spreadsheet calculation logic into the Power BI environment, creating a governed analytics layer within the Analytics and BI category.
